  Every nation in West Africa is preparing towards that disease but at the same time certain questions need to be asked. Black people are dying from the disease and white people are surviving it, how come? History let us know that diseases have been used to wipe out people before and this Ebola menace could be no different. Are u not surprised that all the experts in this disease are whites? certain things just don't add up and the likes of u have been brainwashed into thinking that the American is there to save people like they have saved Iraq and Afghanistan.
  
  The disease was "discovered" in 1977 by an American doctor(correction needed if any) in Africa and we have been made to believe that it originates from bats and monkeys which then are transmitted to humans who eat them. My thing is Africans have been eating the bats and the monkeys for generations and if the disease has been with these animals and looking at the rate in which it kills its victims, dont u think that communities and towns would have been wiped out by now? sometimes we need to take a break and think a little. black people have been used as guinea pigs in many scientific experiments and this Ebola thing could be one of them

They were being used as "guinea pigs" by the federal government. Clinton went further and said, " This is a shame on us". Unquote. Why do you thin something like this should happen to people in the US?
  
  In October 2001, {I have forgotten the exact day} an article appeared in the New York Time that some western doctors and nurses have been arrested in Libya. Their crimes? They were given the HIV virus to new born children in Benghazi hospital. I know you will dispute this too. I kept that page but the mistake I made was, I gave it to a guy who rubbished that story when I told him. After reading it, he wept and I forget to take it back else I will ask you to see if you can get a copy and read the story your self to see how some people have something sinister against their fellow humans.
  
  That incident generated an international confrontation {behind closed door} and to make a long story short} the US, Britain, France cave in and offered something to compensate Libya.
  
  The fact that we are mingling with these people does not mean everything is okay. There is always some hidden agenda against somebody.
  
  When HIV reared its ugly head, we were made to believe that it originated from Africa and the question is, why only Africa?
  
  Read the History of the US and you will understand what they did to some the people who were living on this land before they finally took it back. African will always be at the receiving end and that will not stop.
  
  I will never believe that this Ebola just sprang from the "blue sky" and start killing people.

  Pellicles, the Ebola virus belongs to a viral family well known to scientists for over 45 years.
  You need to know the history of these viruses. Please see the excerpt below from the CDC document:
  
  "Filoviruses belong to a virus family called Filoviridae and can cause severe hemorrhagic fever in humans and nonhuman primates. So far, only two members of this virus family have been identified: Marburgvirus and Ebolavirus. Five species of Ebolavirus have been identified: Taï Forest (formerly Ivory Coast), Sudan, Zaire, Reston and Bundibugyo. Ebola-Reston is the only known Filovirus that does not cause severe disease in humans; however, it can still be fatal in monkeys and it has been recently recovered from infected swine in South-east Asia.
  Structurally, filovirus virions (complete viral particles) may appear in several shapes, a biological features called pleomorphism. These shapes include long, sometimes branched filaments, as well as shorter filaments shaped like a "6", a "U", or a circle. Viral filaments may measure up to 14,000 nanometers in length, have a uniform diameter of 80 nanometers, and are enveloped in a lipid (fatty) membrane. Each virion contains one molecule of single-stranded, negative-sense RNA. New viral particles are created by budding from the surface of their hosts' cells; however, filovirus replication strategies are not completely understood.
  Filovirus history
  The first Filovirus was recognized in 1967 when a number of laboratory workers in Germany and Yugoslavia, who were handling tissues from green monkeys, developed hemorrhagic fever. A total of 31 cases and 7 deaths were associated with these outbreaks. The virus was named after Marburg, Germany, the site of one of the outbreaks. In addition to the 31 reported cases, an additional primary case was retrospectively serologically diagnosed.
  After this initial outbreak, the virus disappeared. It did not reemerge until 1975, when a traveler, most likely exposed in Zimbabwe, became ill in Johannesburg, South Africa. The virus was transmitted there to his traveling companion and a nurse. A few sporadic cases and 2 large epidemics (Democratic Republic of Congo in 1999 and Angola in 2005) of Marburg hemorrhagic fever (Margurg HF) have been identified since that time. For information on known Marburg HF cases and outbreaks, please refer to the chronological list.
  Ebolavirus was first identified in 1976 when two outbreaks of Ebola hemorrhagic fever (Ebola HF) occurred in northern Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) and southern Sudan. The outbreaks involved what eventually proved to be two different species of Ebola virus; both were named after the nations in which they were discovered. Both viruses showed themselves to be highly lethal, as 90% of the Zairian cases and 50% of the Sudanese cases resulted in death.
  Since 1976, Ebolavirus have appeared sporadically in Africa, with small to midsize outbreaks confirmed between 1976 and 1979. Large epidemics of Ebola HF occurred in Kikwit, Democratic Republic of Congo in 1995, in Gulu, Uganda in 2000, in Bundibugyo, Uganda in 2008, and in Issiro, DRC in 2012. Smaller outbreaks were identified in Gabon, DRC, and Uganda. For information on known Ebola HF cases and outbreaks, please refer to the chronological list.
  Animal hosts
  It appears that Filoviruses are zoonotic, that is, transmitted to humans from ongoing life cycles in animals other than humans. Despite numerous attempts to locate the natural reservoir or reservoirs of Ebolavirus and Marburgvirus species, their origins were undetermined until recently when Marburgvirus and Ebolavirus were detected in fruit bats in Africa. Marburgvirus has been isolated in several occasions from Rousettus bats in Uganda".

  I doubt very much that caucasians have any immunity from EVD. The two "miraculous" cases in Atlanta might simply be part of the 10% survival rate coupled with superb medical care.

  Historically, proper management of just dehydration had been enough to stabilize the condition of the Ebola victim. In addition, the potential loss of blood and low blood pressure are dealt with.

  More people have died and will continue to die from malaria, stomach viruses, common headaches at Korle bu hospital, than Ebola would ever claim in the next year or two in Accra.
  
  Indeed it is shameful and embarrassing to face the kind of people who represent us internationally and sometimes here at Ghana web (Pelicles, Togbe Ganyo and Co)
  
  First and foremost these few Americans who were deemed at risk with the Ebola virus know and practice the essence of common hygiene. You have people in Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria eating shit or eating foods that are infested with the most extreme germs. Animal carcasses lay around, sick dogs, chickens, goats and other livestock roam our compound houses and even in cities. House flies abound, they settle on our uncovered foods which we consume gleefully, and think we are equal to westerners. Soon as we contract abominable diseases, we tend to blame the white man or call him for help.

Get some worthless looking villagers infected, then they can observe how terrible the disease can manifest itself. With people like you, I really don't want to belong to the same race as you, although I am as black as charcoal.
  
  It is a shame though, nobody in Europe, Australia or America has AIDS, because it was specifically designed to infect only Black Africans. Thank God Almighty!

  The other part of the mystery is what viruses WANT. These pathogens are simply a package of a few molecules -- usually a genetic material (RNA) --surrounded by a protein coat (or in the case of Ebola, a protein and lipid coat). And that's it! No nervous system, no organs, no ability to move, etc. So, what drives them to infect?
  
  The answer might lie somewhere between Physics and Chemistry, and I don't pretend to know. Basic Biology teaches us that they NEED the cells of living things in order to make use of their cellular machinery to REPRODUCE (make several copies of themselves). But why do they need to make copies of themselves? Is it by virtue of their structure or by some laws of Physics?
  
  Even more mysterious are the infectious particles called PRIONS. These are just proteins and have NO genetic material. They are responsible for a variety of neurological diseases including "Mad Cow Disease" and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in humans.
  
  The latest hypothesis suggests that prions "make copies of themselves" by binding to similar proteins in humans and "forcing" them to change their shapes into the prion shape.
  
  Of course, science is not designed to handle "whys", and the above is simply some food for thought.

  I have a view that outbreaks occur as a result of cycles, and other numerous factors in nature and that by studying these organisms it is possible to establish markers that will trigger certain activities in them.
  
  The rationale is that, if it is possible to study these organisms with a view to improving the well-being of people, then it is possible to apply the same knowledge for sinister motives.
  
  Biological warfare programs will be illegal under international law, however it is embarked on by nations with the premise that such programs will counteract any threats of a similar kind.
  
  If we go by the premise that every weapon that has been developed is tested at some point, then the question is, what is likely to be the location and characteristics, outlook and effect of a biological weapons' test.
  
  Historically, nuclear weapons' testing were distinctively carried out far from the home bases of those who developed them. But such tests were not necessarily designed to wipe out the locals in the areas of testing. They just happened to be the accepted collateral of such programs.

  What will you say if US had come to Africa when there was no ebola outbreak with Zmapp to test on us after testings on monkeys. You will cry hell and say we were being used as guinea pigs. It is not easy man - if they use us for testing, matter, if they don't, matter. Difficult to win. Now you want them to give you their limited stocks, so they run out. What happens when the outbreak spreads there. Would you give yours away if you were in their shoes.

  I think mind set like yours is the reason we are at the bottom of the pegging order. A well educated individual like you, should use his time to undertake scientific research about the disease Ebola and educate people about it. We have to stop blaming whites for blacks woes. We have from time without end been blaming whites from slavery( we don't talk about slavery raders who were blacks and were key architects of slavery), colonization, diseases and poverty. God created all of us both blacks and whites equally and gave average human more than 40 billion gigabyte of memory, enough to assimilate every bit of information on entire planet if not universe. We should begin to question our environment. We should learn to manipulate our environment for our own good and stop blaming whites for our problems. Do you know that not a single written Ghanaian language were wrote by Ghanaians? White man have to come to Ghana (it is the same for almost all sub Sahara Africa) and learn our language and put it in writings for us. So for generations we could not keep the true history of Africa. Please spend your precious writing times to educate your reader about the need to wash their hand with soap anytime they visit toilet, about to eat or about to prepare food. Let your readers also know that they should avoid eating bush meat especially bat and monkey and stop this superstitious writing. You can also carryout your own experiments to eliminate whiteman you know.
