GIMPA is a joke! It is where people with dead brains go to get Master's degrees for what I may describe as academic song! I know some people with Diplomas who are now Master's degree holders!

.. for commercialising GIMPA, and the University of Ghana for reserving places for fee paying foreign students all in the name generating funds. As for the student ministers, it started in Mills time, where some of these ministers used 4 x 4 vehicles from their offices under escort of police dispatch riders rode through the Accra traffic as if to attend official functions, only to end up in classrooms at GIMPA. It took no less a personality of Rawlings to criticise MIlls for the affected deputy minsters at the presidency to stop the practice. Why President Mahama is not monitoring the abuse of office by these ministers should be a course for concern. The affected ministers should excuse themselves from Govt. I hear some MPs are doing likewise. In the USA, there is an official three month break for all Govt appointees. It is during this period that those who wish take the opportunity to upgrade their knowledge in the Universities in relevant areas, not to seek new degrees. If need be, a Master's degree can become the starting point for political office in Ghana.This way UG can no longer sell these degrees to non deserving Goct appointees.

Prof Addae should be blamed for commercialising GIMPA, and the University of Ghana for reserving places for fee paying foreign students all in the name generating funds internally.
