PV was not a perfect man. Like all of us, he had his faults. However I can say that he contributed his part to Ghana's socio-economic development. You wish you were half what PV was to Ghana. You know nothing about P. V. Obeng. I cut my political teeth during the PNDC era and saw all political struggles on both sides of the struggle. You can distort all you want but any objective historical observer knows that P. V. Obeng played his part and whatever our nation is today is nothing compared to the pre- PNDC days, thanks in part to the work of patriots like PV. Ask President Kuffour and all those who came in contact with PV. He was a technocrat and was good at what he did.

Pray that your ilk can give a quarter of what PV gave to his country.

I will rather hold R.O Amoako-Attah another half-brother of theirs who was one time Ashanti Regional Commissioner and a minister in the Nkrumah's regime. We hail from Adansi-Akrokyere, the common father they all hailed from was the very late Bonahene to the deity Bona bosom in Akrokyere , who died in the late 1950s.

PV was an enabler and facilitator of the evil phenom called JJ Rawlings. As an Nkrumaist don't you find it queer that he played a key role to overthrow an Nkrumaist PNP gov't of Limann? All that PV was loyal to was the scent of Konadu Agyeman Rawlings who he bonked too at KNUST. This so-called vaunted intellectual has always exhibited a sort of negativity in his writings which at times is frightening. A balanced mind is one that comes out with contributions/views/opinion during good or bad times. That is a patriot. The silence of Okoampa on good occasions is always deafening but come bad times and you would be knocked down by his outpouring couched in verbosity.

In his analysis of personalities, Okoampa is always a very bitter individual especially if the person happens to fall within the opposite camp of his like-minded. You can easily surmise his line of thought without even completing reading his articles. Just the first few lines are enough.

What is his fixation with the dead who happened not to be his political and or ideological stable mates? He was almost frothing at the mouth in his contributions on the tragic death of Kofi Awoonor-Williams.

The continuum in human activities contributes in people falling at the opposite ends of the line. Without which we are reduced to the state of vegetables.

Yesterday is gone and no matter how much we harp on it will never come back.
