  Otumfuo, Nana Asantehene, you seem to have forgotten the Bompata chieftaincy dispute case. As a result of this inaction on the part of Asanteman Council, the town has been left without a queen mother for several years now, while the current chief who resides in Accra hardly visits the town.
  
  No wonder there is no development whatsoever going on in this town. Without vision, the people really perish, especially the youth of the town.
  
  It is amazing how we fail to correct injustice in our society as leaders; yet we cry for justice when the matter at hand adversely concerns us.
  
  It is equally amazing to observe that cases brought before Asanteman Council can drag for over 40 years without any attempt to call for settlement. There is definitely an urgent need for reforms in the way the Asanteman Council operates.

  Dear Otumfour, I have followed the writings of Rockson for some time now, and I am deeply worried about all the issues he rhas raised. As I think through, I keep asking certain critical questions:
  1. Why Otumfour have not been able to resolve this chieftancy issue since 2007? Have you ever thought of this or asked yourself this question?
  2. Are you hiding the truth and hence you are rendered incapable of resolving the matter?
  3. Why are you always listening to only what the queenmother tells you?
  4. Are you really in possession of the history of Kumawu? The case in point is what Rockson made in his article about Aduanahene. While you claim it was Barima Otuo Acheampong who created the Aduanahene, Rockson claims it was created in 1929? Please if you have nothing to hide, let your PROs write a response on the truth of this - if not it means in reality that you do not know the history of Kumawu and for that matter perhaps of the Asantes.
  5. Do you really have a burning desire to resolve the Kumawu matter?
  6. Have you ever considered that you are causing the great ancestors of Kumawu to weep in their graves by your inaction of dealing with the matter?
  7. The biblical King Solomon did not take this long to resolve cases brought to him. Why are you called 'King Solomon' and yet you cannot handle cases as swiftly as possible?
  
  Otumfour, please be very frank, fair and impartial about this case and in truth and in sincerity resolve it. You can if you want to. The ball is in your courts.

  What are these functions? Don't you think unfamiliar customs foreign to Asantes should be practiced outside Asantes' jurisdiction? I am glad you quoted the Aduanahene as the one claiming that statement. He needs to be evaluated and hopefully he will not dare say it includes the nomination of Kumawuhene. We all know it is the OHEMAA (The Queen), in this case KUMAWUHEMAA NANA SERWAA AMPONSAAH's sole obligation to present one amongst the contestants to Gyaasehene who in turn presents him to the kingmakers for vetting and confirmation. Currently Dr. Yaw Sarfo has been presented to the kingmakers who found no fault BUT for the NATION WRECKERS who has resorted to litigations as usual to plung Kumawuman further deep into the hole of underdevelopment and hardships.

  Who are these ADUNANA groups or families? Sounds foreign to me but if it is a typo, you're forgiven. For the records, The Aduanahene is ONLY head of his Odumase group from Faa Kese. This was instituted to give them some form of recognition after they were banned from ever mounting the paramountcy of Kumawuman following the episode of The Enchanted bull of Asanteman. Barima Okotere Fenini and his Odumase group were banned by The Asanteman Council for betraying The Asante nation.
  
  ILLEGITIMACY VRS. LEGITIMACY?
  Barima Kwame Afram is from The Ankaase Royal family who created a position (Aduanahene) to Faa Kese lineage to give them a recognition and voice in Kumawu. Now these are the same folks objecting to the legitimacy of The Ankaase royalty.
  Wonders shall never end, they say: The Legitimate swear an oath of allegiance to the Illegitimate; THE IMMIGRANTS from Essumja kill and maime the ORIGINAL APEMSO royals and claim they, the immigrants (Ananangya/Odumase)are the "original royals", hence The Ankaase's are illegitimate; Hmmm...NKOKOHWEDIE MMIENU NNKO OBI AFUO MU.

  What at all is chieftaincy in our time? the institution has outlived its usefulness. no wonder the if is shackled by conflicts, most of them bloody! in my own place the biggest chief of the place is busy chasing money in his bid to catch wealth. this he does while social infrastructure is woefully lacking for his people, I haven't even heard of him ever expressed concern about the deplorable conditions of his own district but he chases contracts for his own interest. even the Assembly man today does better for his people than the chief. Chiefs should repair the fading image of the institution otherwise,,,.
