Mahama has credibility issues and as a result he's not marketable on his own merit. The good people of Ghana have become fed up with the incompetence of the President which has no precedence and the only lee- way his PR team have to salvage a bit of the failed president's sunken image is to compare him to someone whose popularity is transcendent. They're hoping a bit of Nkrumah's immense popularity will rub-off Mahama but they forget the times have changed. Likening or comparing Mahama to Nkrumah is the dumbest thing to do. Nkrumah's moribund socialist inspired ideas that gave birth to the State Owned enterprises are no longer relevant today, having been abandoned mid-stream by its over-zealous Russian and Chinese originators. The SOEs failed in every socialist nation because they were not profit-oriented. They were for nothing else but useless communist propaganda purposes. Where the capitalists made huge profits the socialists lost huge sums of money because they bought votes with the little money they made. If President Mahama hasn't learned any useful lessons from the failed policies of Nkrumah, 48 years after his overthrow, then I don't have the words to describe his cluelessness. When you hit rock bottom I don't know how much further down you want to go from that point. Cluelessness is the mother of more serious forms of cluelessness. It doesn't get any better.

Even the company working on the Kwame Nkrumah overpass is a Brazilian state owned company. From the above it has been proved that Sarpong and Mensah Abrampa The British Broadcasting Corporation is still a state owned enterprise. Thus is the business of state security which are owned by states.
It is on record that privatization in Russia for instance has not been successful since those who bought the companies stole even the tax they are to pay to the state and put it in the banks in the west. As a result the state in Russia has bought back almost all the former state enterprises, including shops. China is able to feed its vast population because of Chinese state farms and India because of the state Food Distribution Corporation. In education and health Cuba which has sanctions against it has used the state sector to do better than the U.S. on the education and health index.

It has been said that by next year China will take over the U.S. as the biggest economy, not because of its capitalist system, but the enhancement of the socialist economy to make leaps.
Russian state owned arm industry has been performing better than its counterparts in Western European Capitalist countries and one thing that let people perform is that the planes and other arms are named after those who design them. As for the issue of Kwame Nkrumah being a dictator the person who said that was in 1966 an animal with freedom less than the white man's dog in the U.S. Whiles on pension now earns less than his white counterparts.
John Dramani Mahama has not introduced free tap water, sanitation, education, medical care and a strong state enterprise, thus can not be compared with Kwame Nkrumah. It is on record that a Negro who fought in the Vet Nam war was only this year accorded respect, which has long been granted to dogs long ago only this year. I am also made to know that Negros can not drive even taxis in London in the 1970s because of the colour of their skin.

China is a big country with hundreds of thousands of government companies and the economic transition from communist economic policies to capitalism started just recently, not more than 15 years ago.

The point is that, why China is changing from communist economic policies which they have realized is not working and privatizing companies, Ghana is doing the opposite.

Read about how some important Ghanaians are even speaking against the government idea of starting the GHANA AIRLINES. What kind of people are we? Do we learn anything? We tried this before and it did not work and we continue to do the same thing hoping the result will be different. 2+2 will always be 4.

Recently, a monitoring agency detected over 10, 000 ghost names in the Greater Accra Region alone on the government's payroll. Only God knows how much of the taxpayers' money have been siphoned into the pockets of unscrupulous men and how long this robbery has lasted. Which private business entrepreneur would allow this naked robbery to go on undetected for many years. What you probably don't understand is that whilst most people would rather spend their own money with prudence they won't do the same if the money isn't coming directly from their pocket. They will spend with reckless abandon. In 2012, Mahama dipped his hands into government coffers and doled out land cruisers, lap tops, cash gifts to woo ghanaian voters and soon after the elections declared publicly that the 'meat was done to the bone'. Would he do it if the money was coming from his personal savings. Please! Spare us all that jazz and contemptible argument in Mahama's favor.
Do you trust Mahama? I don't. He admit there's unprecedented level of corruption in his administration but tell me one thing he has done to stop the bleeding. Nothing! Zero!

We've been here before but because Mahama thinks"Ghanaians have short memories"(ghanaweb Dec 15, 2013) he's repeating Nkrumah's mistake and is being compared to Nkrumah. How myopic. Mistakes are meant to inform and refine our decision making process. It's only fools who repeat mistakes time and time again. Even the Russians and Chinese have changed the way they used to conduct business by infusing some capitalist ways and means into their failing system. If they've succeeded in turning around their failing businesses why should we continue to follow a system the innovators themselves have rejected and abandoned? That's foolishness. Mensah Abrampa it seems that you are inconsistent because you claim that both capitalist and socialist systems are not perfect, yet you are praising capitalism here. To your information after the failure of the private sector in Russia the state has taken over the means of production and distribution in that country, yet it is not a socialist state. We wrote that in terms of arms manufacture the Russian state manufacturer has performed better than the U.S. capitalist manufacturer. We also wrote about education and health index, that even Zimbabwe with sanctions against it has performed better in those fields than South Africa.

Government does not create jobs. It's the private sector. The job of the government is to create the enabling environment for business take off. It could lower taxes or offer tax breaks as incentives for job creation. The government's role in the business of job creation then could be described as the facilitator's role. Where government needs to become the employer like the ministries and civil service it has to learn from the private sector and apply the best business practices for efficiency and effectiveness. To increase productivity government should introduce monitoring systems like the time clock system suggested by Sarpong. Workers clock in when they report for work and at the end of the day's work. In addition they clock in and out for the break periods. Managers and supervisors must stay on the job to manage and supervise, assigning the day's work to the employees and making sure the daily targets are met. This system works to near perfection in the advanced, industrialized nations and will work equally well wherever they are introduced .
The Kommenda Sugar Factory must be transferred into private hands if government means well and has good intentions for this revived factory. No private owner will employ 4-6 people to do the work of one person but the government will for propaganda and vote buying purposes. Let's not revisit the same old time tested policies that have failed us time and time again. It's only fools who keep doing the same things in the same old ways yet expect differing results each time.

To you backwardness kindly note that according to Marxist-Leninist philosophy no one country can build communism. Thus all what state ownership of the major means of production and distribution that we have are socialist, which includes small owners and cooperatives. Why we wrote that the state sector is better than the private sector is that China and India with the highest populations have been able to feed their people as a result of two things, state farms and state food distribution corporations. It is on record again that countries with free education and health systems have done better than the U.S.
In terms of arms U.S. arms are produced by private companies which have not been able to overcome most of their difficulties. Whiles U.S. planes were stock in the Afghanistan desert soviet state made ones were able to fly in and out. The British Broadcasting Corporation is financed by public funds, just like the British army.
