If it is true that teachers have not been paid their salaries for 2 years as claimed in this article I cannot imagine how the President of Ghana could sit comfortably at table with his family and eat dinner. I believe 2 years ... read full comment
If it is true that teachers have not been paid their salaries for 2 years as claimed in this article I cannot imagine how the President of Ghana could sit comfortably at table with his family and eat dinner. I believe 2 years is an exaggeration but even 2 months nonpayment of teachers salaries is bad enough. My suggestion to you, Mr President, is to suspend all projects that are not critical in nature such as the Tamale International Airport project and others and use the monies earmarked for such projects to pay the salary arrears of the affected teachers. I wonder if parliamentarians received their pay during the time frame that teachers in their constituencies did not. How callous can they be!
