I read the whole piece and it transported me back home; alone in my apartment, I felt the physical presence of the ubiquitous Ghanaian salesman/woman epitomized by those southern sellers who ply their wares soothingly on buses and the young girls with trays full of mouth-watering kelewele, tea bread, etc, dangling so precariously on their heads.
You captured all the din and chaos so succinctly....great work.

Punpuni you are absolutely right. It is time we read other issues rather than NDC this NPP that, all the time. This article is an invitation to the youth to learn about the good old days. Kudos Kofi Amenyo

All that you've said is a true reflection of our daily lifestyle but, this time around, i had expected you to elaborate also on the state of our roads.
How is the vehicular life in the city like nowadays? Aflao, flao, Akatsi abor, bor, bor, Nkawkaw-Kumasi-Anyinam, nam, nam, Suhum-Nsawam, wam, wam, Circ-circ, Kaneshie, shie, shie, hahahaha!!

FOYOOSIS, the vehicular life in Ghana is as interesting as ever - perhaps even more so. Wow! Accra now has ever more lorry parks from which you can take vehicles to any part of the country and beyond. The aplankes are still shouting out their destinations - Circre, Circre, Ciecre; Balia Balia Balia and Akatsi Abor...
These, and many others (the roads and driving in the hinterland and even Accra, the behaviour of the traffic police, street sellers, pedestrians crossing the roads whenever and wherever they like, etc) all deserve a separate article.
I just hope I will have the time and the urge to do that piece. Perhaps I will...

Kofi, no one -- absolutely no one -- does it better than you do on Ghanaweb! I remember vividly one time, while traveling from Accra to Hohoe, a hawker got on our bus and got more than half of the passengers to purchase his miracle cream, capable of curing hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, kpokpomiasis, alimiasis, klomiasis, and the list goes on! Oh, how I remember the simple ways of life back then!
