Ahoofe has dwelt on the spectacle of pple rejoicing over the overthrow of the CPP regime as sweeping proof that Ghanaians (is he assuming all of them?) were happy at the overthrow. Sure! Some pple rejoiced but that's not a surprise at all, considering the proportion of votes the opposition was garnering in all the elections prior to indep.

In Asante,then comprising the B/A too, the CPP was getting only about 33% of the votes. The just managed to win the majority of seats in the VR. In other regions, the CPP was getting from 60-80%. In total the CPP got just over 70 of the 106 seats in Parliament but if it were proportional representation, would have got less. Therefore, there was a large segment of the pop. that never supported the CPP and therefore formed the nucleus of the latent opposition to it. The jubilants therefore came from the ranks/houses of these against pple. As a child, I remember CPP supporters going into hiding and some hastily crossing the border to Togo.

Those who rejoiced come from the minority pop. which never supported Nkrumah and the CPP. Some of them, opportunists, who joined the CPP quickly turned coat to join their ranks. Dr Hilla Limann was one such person. From his UP tradition then serving the CPP and then back to support UP coup makers with outlandish tales of how he used his diplomat post to supply information to the British intelligence, etc., to undermine the CPP, leading to the successful coup. Since the talk was about him, it was high time to reveal some home truths some of us were aware of even before Limann became president.

A tutelary posthumous presidency coupled with an 'All die be die" mindset is not a good premix. " all progressive and well-meaning Ghanaians ought to be concerned with and be" brainstorming.

The death of Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua, at 58, should be on everyone's mind.

Akufo Addo by all account is a good man who loves his country dearly we love him back, even more and thank him for that, yet his posthumous presidential intentions are glaringly not what Ghana needs now.

Ghana's bad economy and corruption issues cannot be bailed out by contracting an impending funeral.

I don't know how old you are but I guess you are really younger than Akuffo Addo but your life is not guarantee to you for tomorrow so you should stop worrying about somebody's impending death and worry about your own health.

You might end up dead tomorrow whilst Akuffo Addo will be living.

Let me share a personal history with you and the reason I don't like talking about anybody's death.

In 2005, I was in Ghana and my Aunti who was 74 at the time was sick so my Uncle who was 63 told me, "Kwame, you need to leave now before your Aunt pass away because if she does, you cannot leave until the funeral" At the time, I still have one more week to stay in Ghana so I decided to stay and whatever happened, I will still leave. Fortunately my Auntie recovered within five days and still living well over 80 years now. Unfortunately my Uncle who was 64 passed away six months later. The one who thought my Aunt was going to die had been dead for about nine years now whilst the older Aunt is still living.

Repugnant, don't predict anybody's death, it is not a good omen.

Ghana and its mostly majority tribes too slow to use their brains to think or lacking principles chose to forego Nkrumah in 1966 and yet some 40+ years later blame Nkrumah for the mess we attract. The mismanagement of national funds, the normalization of nepotism, cronyism and thievery, the moral decadence and hypocritical moral equivalence of the Ghanaian character since 1970 is not Nkrumah's handiwork but that of an Ashanti Kyebi character which is at the ideological root of the old matemeho-UGCC gang which gave birth to mordern day NPP. Most of the loudmouth card carrying NPP members in the Diaspora and in Ghana aided by the classroom educated but intellectually ignorant NPP tools cannot give cogent rationale for the messy and chaotic aftermath of the Ghana they delivered instead of the streets of honey and milk they promised. These NPP intellectual fakes have no idea how to build or create and may never know of the required and desired skills it takes to make paper level ideas become reality. Nkrumah took over a rather elitist paper ideas of Danquah, Busia and others and made the independence of Ghana a reality because the matemeho-UGCC gang could not. Instead of understanding their limitations and the level of their intellect they, their zombie followers and a generation later cannot get over being outsmarted by the superior Nkrumah. Get over it all you Nkrumah-haters because the name Ghana is forever linked to Nkrumah and not to the wish list of would have could have should have crowd
Show us you are capable of the requisite intellectual capacity and coordination to build and save a chaotic nation and do not continue to engage in activities that comes easily and readily to saboteurs of the matemeho-UGCC/NPP brand. Every living human being has the capacity to be evil and practice retribution to the bitter end but some choose not to because of the damaging toll on the person with such burden. If the NPP as a party wants its leadership to stand for bitterness they are at liberty to do so but even we the dumb (since NPP. tout itself as a party of intellectuals) are gaining in wisdom and may break free from the worship of elite familied that's the mainstay of the NPP or NDC.
