In 1979 when Rawlings forced himself on to the Ghanaian Political theater i was then 25 years old then living at kokomlemle -Accra.I therefore,know all the "bad bad things Rawlings don do" to quote the BLACK PRESIDENT THUS SAINT FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI.Rawlings can dilute the facts in the book but we the people of that era don't need any editorial by murderous and ARMED ROBBER rawlings,because we witnessed all the murders, atrocities,corruptions,tribalism,nepotism,intimidations,wanton disrespect and arrest of people during curfew,jealous confiscations of peoples businesses and properties,lynching of naked market women infront of their families, stealings are all he WROTE.But facts must not be twisted by Rawlings.The book is good for posterity and those who were in diapers during rawlings infamous era who see him as somebody!

Omnipresent describes something present everywhere at the same time. If we take your logic and and that of like-minded literally, then Rawlings must surely possess such powers then.

I was also in Accra and was witness to some of the atrocities of those heady days, the one indelibly etched on my mind was the infamous "hain-kanie" incident where on the command of soldiers, "transgressing" women would open their legs apart, exposing their private part and closing them. I also heard of the widely reported incident in Koforidua market where a woman was compelled to consume some of the pepper she was selling because it was allegedly exorbitantly priced. The list can go on and on and on and not once will anybody definitively put the physical presence of the "devil" called Rawlings at the scenes.

I have always had difficulty with those who distort facts for their two minutes of fame. From Nkrumah's government through Ankrah, Busia, Linman,Kuffour and Mills, wrongs were committed by the over-zealots without the say so of the incumbent. My personal experience was nearly being frog-marched because we were visiting a relative who was a driver at Public Works and failed to stand when the military liaison officer (military honcho in-charge of Public Works) was being dropped at his Ministry. Should I have gone around blaming Rawlings for the experience? NO!!! Facts must not be twisted as you succinctly put it or we shall be doing those in diapers and posterity a lot of disservice.

As for Mr PHD blaming a LEGAL COUNSEL for taking the case of Rawlings in a dispute with his "maternal uncle", the least said the better as it shows the type of educated mentality at work.

The architects of them were either killed or took refuge in other countries; perhaps you Kwame were one. Yes, Rawlings' role his played in Ghanaian politics should be covered in full but not only hammering on only the negative excesses. And whatever may be contained in Prof. Danso-Boafo's book is not what I'm about. But I'm about you, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe.
