You have every reason to play with the Kwarteng guy without taking him serious for just a minute all because in most cases he copies and paste paragraphs on this platform which he, Kwarteng has in reality no clue about, in short he wants to be a coloumnist only for coloumnist, you know! Just to seek
attention, but in actual fact his write ups are bogus.
The numerous paragraphs he has combined as an article are completely useless and non-sense making copy and paste something.

Dear JOASS,
Please you should try to be a bit clearer next time. I struggled a bit trying to make sense out of your comments. I hope the following attempts on my part help somehow:
In any case AIDs kills everyone, white, black, and yellow. Cancer (of all types) probably kills Westerners (Whites) than Africans or Asians combined. Of course there are many diseases that are "race" specific.
For instance, sickle cell anemia disprotinately affects Africans and people of African descent that other races (relatively speaking). For instance, skin cancer disprotionately affects Caucasians more than they do other races (relatively).
There are some diseases that also affects one gender more than the other. For instance, lupus affects more women (young) than men. Besides, African-American are more likely to get lupus than Caucasian women. You need an appreciation of genomics to grasp these ideas. What point then are you trying to make (I hope I somehow understand your question)?
Find time to reading the following (they might inform you more about AIDS and Ebola):
1) An article (Modernghana, by Cameron Duodo): "THE AFRICAN UNION MUST TAKE THE EBOLA CASE TO THE U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL" (www.modernghana.com/news/567073/1/the-african-union-must-take-the-ebola-case-to-the-.html)
2) Edward Hooper (Nearly 2000 pages; Author: Edward Hooper; Book: "The River: A Journey to the Source of HIV and AIDS). Try to see if you can get the debate that went on about the epidemiology of AIDS in the New York Times (the late 1990s) following publication of the book. There are also documentaries that accompanied the national/international debates.
Finally, why must you sit down for Rawlings and his wife to steal from you? Take them to court and let them!
Thanks.

Dear Salem,
My response to JOASS had nothing to do with grammar if that is what you think.
Some readers like you draw unnecessary conclusions from statements rather than asking the right questions for additinal clarification.
In other words my concern primarily had to do with getting JOASS's drift. I needed that to give him a precise response.
In any case were you able to capture the full essence of the condititional connotations couched in my response to JOASS? The conditional connotations were meant to give JOASS an impression of the difficulty I had trying to understand his comments, not grammar. I do not disrespect my readers unless they give me reason to!
Salema, you should have known by now that grammar is not something I breathe like some of you do, facts are.
Moreover, a convoluted piece does not necessarily imply bad penmanship, for, if it were, the writings of Wole Soyinka, Toni Morrison, Derek Walcott, William Faulkner, Wilson Harris, etc., will be bad penmanship. Do you know how many critics have classified the writings of Soyinka and Harris as convuleted!
And how many critics have classified Soyinka's writings as bad? I can discuss some of the works of these critics with you if you will send me an email.
Futher, your view is relative. I just finished discussing this very article with a lawyer friend of mine. He does not see what you see! Finally, don't think I take your view personal. I just want you to know what goes on in the literary world. For instance, Wole Soyinka receives a Nobel for his outsatnding literary works that some critics and reviewers see as bad and convloluted!
Finally, you failed to do one thing though: Give me just one single example of thrash-talking in this entire essay and I will gladly respond to it. Then give me instances of structural convolutions from this essay and I will gladly prove to you how desperately confused and lost you are!
Thanks.

You were making a lot of sense in your riposte to JOASS comment until when you got to the last paragraph where you made a mockery of yourself for asking a silly question which a kindergarten pupil would not even dare to. You have the penchant to attack and denigrate the dead ( Busia and Danquah) all the time to your utmost pleasure and it is fine with you but when that Trokosi Greedy "SOB" who hijacked Ghana and trated every one like guinea pig for near two decades is attacked you have the nerve to show us the way to the court house. In any case does it make sense to you for those criminal couple to own fleet of cars, state of the art mansions, factories and tens of acres of landing properties in Ghana when these same Murderous tyrants and clinical buffoons forced scores of Ghanaians ( particularly hardworking Akan business men and wealthy cocoa farmers) to go on exile to escape executions for owning more than one housing properties acquired from their own laborious sweat. Don't let your Trokosi wonnabe outfit becloud your judgement for, bluntly put, what is obviously bad for my kookoase people must be equally bad for Trokosis.

Dear Mr. Figure-Out,
Did John Kufuor not work in the same administration you are blaming? Is Kufuor and his government not as corrup? Weren't there many Akans (Asantes, etc) who were part of the AFRC and then the PNDC?
What Kufuor and his government stole in the oil deal alone is incaculable? Is Kufuor's brother not the richest Ghanaian? How did he make his money? How could a mere defense minister? become a billionaire (don't tell me his medical practice in Britain made him a billionaire)?
This is why some believe Kufuor's gvernment could be the worst government in Ghana's history (4th Republic)! Do you remember when Kufuor's own minister came out with news that Kufuor's government had given parliamentarians $5000 each to vote on a shady deal? Who is more corrup than Kufuor?
And do you know why the Mo Ibrahim Foundation snubbed Kufuor? It was all because of the shameful and rampant corruption that took place in his government.
Remember Kufuor worked with Rawlings and his government. There are other shameless NPP folks who did likewise.
Finally, this article has nothing to do with any individual or groupThere is more to say but let us end it here. I don't know of any group in Ghana called "trokosi." The history of "trokosi" is associated with the Ga-Adangbes and Ewes. Therefore, I don't know what "trokosi" is except what happens at trokosi shrines.
I have said it is history that denigrates Busia and Danquah. Those two are mere appendages to Ghana's political history. Those murderous tyrants and clinical buffons you mention are no different from Kufuor and his thieving ilk.
Go ask Dr. Mo Ibrahim why his respected international organization discarded Kufuor and his government in the bin of history? Then ask Kufuor why he and his ilk allowed the Indemnity Clause to be inserted into the 1992 Constitution!
Thanks.

Man is a complex amalgam and composite of spiritual, physical and psychic matter. We manifest in different forms in mind and spirit. God created us in His own image to live and worship Him to His glory. Humans of lesser mind interpret the sacred tracts according to their own understanding and hidden agenda, hence the high spate of religious intolerance. St Paul wrote a lot in the New Testament to settle most of the dire issues raised in this essay by Francis. In matters of faith, no science or calculus can settle any issue. The best way to approach religion is to believe in one Supreme Creator and respect his creation and creatures. So Jesus taught us the Golden Rule of doing unto others what we expect others to do for us. Science cannot prove all things so they talk of X unexplained factor. The Nicene Council met in Nicea and used their canons to decide the Apostles Creed and our current bible. King James in 1620 or thereabouts commissioned the current version of the bible which was translated from Greek/Latin by John Wycliffe and made common by William Caxton's invention of the printing press and Johann Gutenburg's. Galileo and Copernicus re-echoed heliocentrism in their time but that was known long ago by some Greeks, Egyptians and Maya, Babylonian and other sun-god (Marduk) worshippers. As for me, my take is to believe in the faith you believe in and respect others in a spirit of give and take, accommodation, co-existence, cohabitation, and mutual respect. Francis, let sleeping dogs lie and do not stir the hornet's nest, for the Great Schism raged during Martin Luther's time in 1517 and the Calvinists etc etc

Es3s3nto! St Augustine of Hippo elaborated on understanding man and God in his treatise, City of God. Scientists have written about paranormal phenomena or extra-sensory perception, existence of ghosts, angels, witchcraft, among others. The bible explains everything we need to know and through medication, fasting and prayers, God reveals many mysteries to man. Francis, go on religious retreat, fast, pray and dwell on God's word and you will get to know answers to questions raised here as your quest. God bless.

Dear Prof. Donsuro,
This is an attempt on my part to address some of the issues Dr. SAS raised in Part 3 of his essay "Thoughts of a Native Son."
Andy and Daniel K. Pryce also added their voice and I thought I had to give my own take on the question! However, the history you give on heliocentrism (vs geocentrism) is not a straight one.
Dr. Chandra Kant Raju (an acquaintance of mine through Dr. Molefi Kete Asante), one of the world's leading mathematicians, statisticians, computer scientists, physicists, and historian, has revealed to the world where Copernicus' heliocentrism originated ( a little-known secret hidden from the rest of the world).
We know how Galileo is indebted to ancient Egypt. And we also know how John Wycliffe was burnt at the stake for allegedly mistranslating (from the vulgate to English) what became known as the Bible (though every translation today ows something to his work).
There is so much controversies about the history of the Bible and of Christianity that are not well known, that many Christians are uncomfortable talking about! There are even powerful arguments establishing how Paul distorted Christ's teaching and eventually leading to waht we call Christianity today.
Not all scholars agree on Paul's re-interpretation of the body of Christ's teachings. Some of these Bible scholars and Near East historians believe Paul did not know Christ personally (and intimately) and that whatever he knew of Christ and his teachings came primarily from others and from his exegetical twist on them. Paul also brought Greco-Roman jurisprudence (his background as a lawyer) and general secular knowldge of the Greco-Roman to bear on Chrst's work. We are usually not told these in churces.
And there are so many heretical attributes to what actually happened at the Nicene Council that Christians today are afraid to talk about. We can say the same of the Koran. I recall having a discussion with Dr. Kwame Botwe-Asmoah who taught World History for many years. In fact, I specifically recall his telling me how one of the powerful caliphs in the ancient world destroyed sections of the Koran, fearing their canonized inclusion might cast doubt on the divine nature of the Koran.
There are more I wish time and space would have allowed.
Let's end it here.
Thanks.
