This can only come from agents of a corruption infested and disgraced NDC government!!! Talk about the looting of Ghana's monies by this corrupt John Dramani Mahama. How else could NDC operatives be so emboldened to loot as they do now without fearing any consequences if they were not aware of the thievery of JDM himself? The only flakk they get is to be promoted to Jubilee House for protection. Remember VH?

Unless Mahama uses his executive power to create special ant-corruption agency with PC Ofori Appiah, Kwaku Baako, Kwesi Pratt, Frema Busia and Sekou Nkrumah as executive members, corruption will forever remain in our national politics till thy kingdom come because there is no doubt Akuffo Addo will make the corruption that took place under Kuffour look like a picnic. Akuffo Addo has more crooked characters in his inner circle than Kuffour a thousand fold!!!

Braa Appiah, I rightly agree with you that there is no way Akufo-Addo can fight corruption in Ghana. Are the fanatics of the man saying that by simply rejecting the booties of corruption during Prez Kufour's era alone makes him a qualified person to fight corruption?
Let me say that by not questioning his colleagues who shared the booties of corruption in the past alone, makes Akufo-Addo corrupt to the core. What is the use of a lamp that cannot overcome darkness? If Akufo-Addo is against corruption and that makes him a bright spot among his corrupt colleagues, what is the known influence that he had exerted on them to dissuade them from their corrupt practices?
Corruption would definitely smell 'kuuu' in Akufo-Addo's government because he himself and other people have invested heavily in trying to help him become the President. When they get power what would be left is PAYBACK TIME. Would you blame them? No, they are not FATHER CHRISTMAS.
Fellow Ghanaians, let us rally behind Prez Mahama. The man who didn't say corruption is as old as Adam. Even if he has not put anybody behind bar, he is at least making corruption unattractive with the committees he had been setting up to expose those who are behind the practice.
People, let us assist the President to fight corruption. After all, it is said that the ONE WHO CLIMBS A GOOD TREE DESERVES A PUSH.

We may have a viable third Option in ?Alan. So, why not try him? Even though he was in Kufuor's Administration, he was not in any such influential position as Akufo-Addo was. Akufo-Addo was an Attorney-General and directly in charge of Law Enforcement. He has no record, whatsoever, of seeking Justice in curbing crime, especially Corruption, beyond the controversial prosecution of Tsikata and co. which many believe was Kufuor's timid attempt at taking a vindictive jab at J. J.
Akufo-Addo oversaw the collapse of some hugely significant Drug cases, and the bungling of the Ya Na murder case. With his legal bacground that he has solidly propped his whole life on, even if he was not the Attorney-General at the time of these monumental cases, he should have done more to help the System mete out Justice. But he did not.
To me, it is more of his silence and aloofness he brings to crucial issues with immense National importance that is most worrisome to think of him as a potential Head of State.
We should be very careful not to let our eagerness to change Mahama drive us blindly to replace him with a worse candidate that would prolong our suffering.
Long Live Ghana!!!

Nana may not involve himself in corruption if he becomes a president, but those around him will. Why do you think Sir John is hell bent even to the extent that he will put Nana in a wheel chair for him to contest?. The answer is simple, Sir. John and all those ostriches want to recoup their investments by any means possible. You can imagine how much they have invested in him for the past three elections which he failed to win. To me a vote for Nana is a vote for Sir John and co. to dig their hands in the national kitty and Nana will look on unconcerned, after all it will be a pay back time. If Ghanaians are smart, they should rather vote PPP instead of those two criminal political parties.

Akufo Addo inherited all these largese out of corruption. What work or business did his father the ceremonial president do to acquire all those properties?
So it means Nana himself came out of that corruption link.
All he want to do now is to also be able to acquire the same if not more than what his father did for him to his children before he dies.
Ghanaians should not be fooled by listening to NPP lies.
In Kufour administration, Ghana became columbia with drug barrons running amok in Ghana.
This will never happen again. Nobody should even dream of voting for NPP the tribalistic party of Ashanti's and Akyems.

Truth be told, Akufo Addo father finagled the gov of Ghana and bought all those properties.
Akufo Addo himself is aware of these facts so, why are you DB (Diabolical Being) annoyed with me.
Idiot Akufo Addo anus licker. Look for some work to do because Akufo Addo will never be the President to Ghana until he dies make it on the wall anywhere that you can see everyday. Ofui.

In as much as fighting corruption is essential; good political governance transcends the presentation you have posted here. Again you haven't been objective and well balanced, especially for you to be quite oblivious to the scandals of corrupt practices that have imbued the present administration. Yes all past administrations are in one way or the other culpable. There is no excuse for that at all; it is regrettabe. Good governance will not only help to reduce such externalities, politics par excellence addresses peoples' social and economic rights. It is quite ironic that in your presentation, you alluded that the government is doing a good job. This perception of yours does not reflect in peoples' wages, health care, among the army of unemployed and wageless life; what you purport is not evinced in our nation's roads, our neighbours, filling stations, educational sector, etc. What is prevalent is our people dying needlessly because of low health care standards, road accidents are rife, farmers are suffering, inter alia, road conditions do not facilitate transportation of their produce. Recent cases of road hazards obstructing farmers have been reported in the upper region and among cocoa farmers in the western region. Young people have been disenfranchised. Exploitation of our environments is common. This because there is an apparent lack of environmental law enforcement. It was recently reported that a seven year old child drowned in one of these galamsay pits in Kibi. Friend, this is a complete race to the bottom.IMF's own assessment of our economy makes grim reading. The Harvard University academic who visited Ghana recently observed similar economic outcomes; it is quite intriguing that these quintessential observations do not give credence to what you have alluded in your article about the prospects of your government. Mahama has not taken a year to do anything as you intimated; NDC is nearly six years in government. Friend, some of these issues I have evinced here could have been avoided with good governance. Unfortunately , it is going to get worse with IMF Programme ( one thng Botchwey was quite lucid about ). The emancipatory governance we are hoping for, transcends fighting corruption. It is the big picture to give our people who are under the daily scourge of a very bad government though relatively, it has presided over the greatest resources in the history of our nation and has saddled the Ghanaian people with the largest sovereign debts. Come on my friend, think of the needy and the dying; think about sustainable development, for the future generations.

My dear, it is hard to unravel the issues of problems you are attempting to identify Nana Addo with. You are perfectly entitled to be entrenched in your opinion about the man, however that does not make your position legitimate. In any case, what I posted was inter alia a rebuttal to the main article and an attempt to present a more holistic view. I also hope that we are all able to be critical in our analysis in relation to political issues, avoiding fetishism and tribal sentiments. It is peoples' destinies we are talking about here, people over the length and breadth of our nation and tragically after an aggregate of twenty-six years of NDC rule, that tradition has not made life, just basic life any better. It only exacerbates the struggles.
