First of all, let me clarify some misconceptions in your article. It is true that workers and people in the developed world are far better of than those in Ghana and do have regular supply of energy, water, better health care, education facilities, reasonable levels of wages, etc. However, it is not true that workers or people in these countries never go through stress and have peace of mind. Life in the development world is also stressful even with the middle class, though the source/s is/are not due to non availability of basic resources. Some also face poor pay, especially those in low paid jobs, though they are still financial better of. I definitely agree with you that the pressures of life are not the same as in Ghana.
Second, Ghanaians should stop deluding themselves that we have best human resources and natural resources in West/Africa or the world. How can we continue to make such preposterous claims when the country has been in such a mess for decades? I am proud to be a Ghanaian but I longer hold the very that we are the best on the continent. It's simply not true.
Finally, I personally believe that there is no Ghanaian politician or public servant who is not corrupt. Unless you define corruption narrowly and for that reason you believe that a politician in Ghana is not corrupt just be cause s/he claims to be so. No African politician will stand up and admit that s/he is corrupt. Ghana is corrupt to the core and all of us, including those of us in the Diaspora are part of the problem.
I also agree with you that unless Ghana and Ghanaians enforce and comply with the laws, rules and regulations respectively, no government or president will be successful in bringing development to the nation. At best, Ghana will remain where she is if not retrogress.
So what makes you believe that Nana Akufo-Addo will make Ghana work again? Simply because he says he is never been corrupt and would never be? That is pathetic. I expected you to at least, provide some policy measures that Nana Akufo-Addo would implement to stop the current mess by Mahama and others that would make Ghana work again but absolutely nothing. That is why I said you are a fundamentalist supporter. I think you could do better. Sometimes, I wonder if NPP or Nana Akufo-Addo could really do better than NDC and Mahama, though in my view President Kufuor did better.
