John, this is a very intelligent piece. Anyone with half a brain would see that hosting this AFCON 2015 in the face of the Ebola epidemic is simply insane. It seems incredible that Morocco, the official host and South Africa, approached by CAF have taken the sensible decision whereas this NDC government is somehow determined to host this 'AFCON-EBOLA 2015'.
President John Mahama and his NDC government must recognise the political consequences of hosting this 'AFCON-EBOLA 2015'. Hosting the 'AFCON-EBOLA 2015' is like stepping on Banana skins/peel. Should there be the Ebola outbreak as the result of hosting the tournament in Ghana, the NDC government would be voted out.
The NDC Government's prime concern should be the health of its citizens.

My own NDC will be more than ‘mmoa’ to even contemplate this idea. And, the head is going about as if he does not know what is brewing about CAF’s proposal to host the event in Ghana. Before you knew however, he would have had full awareness and was tacitly behind it. If you turn the clock back a bit you will remember that this man turned a blind eye (all in the name of democracy and free for all life) and allowed the Chinese to aggressively drag our forests down, pull natural rivers apart, dig military trenches under sensitive and protected national sites and savagely brutalise village folks into submission all under the eyes of a government we voted into power ourselves. Strangely, members of this stupid government of ours which I personally contributed to voting into power were gleefully doing all they could to earn millions into their private pockets. Like that equally stupid 'Asante-Kramo' Agya Attah government, this NDC is as hopeless and as clueless you can ever imagine.
The constitution of this republic; is there no provision to trial, impeach and put high ranking public official to jail? Certainly any civilised democracy should have provision to exact responsibility vis-a-vis accountability from people entrusted with the security and protection of the citizenry.
Should we just vote another government into power or do the right thing by changing this shambolic and nonsense democracy we got?

I agree with your reasoning but I disagree that Ghana is a banana republic. It is unpatriotic to describe your beloved country in such derogatory terms

Kingsley has only added to the fear and hysteria surrounding Ebola....he should know better...the fear has spread much faster than the disease....it is not an outbreak in the US...it was just an isolated case....let us reset our thinking....Duncan's family has not tested positive for the disease even though they lived with him in the same apartment.....the media in the United States has exaggerated its report of the disease to the extent that anyone from West Africa is a suspect.....Kingsley is replicating the US media on Ghanaweb....who cares what your boss says....the NDC won't host the football tournament no matter how pressure and charm are brought to bear on it by AFCON....our rudimentary health-care system just would snap under a breakout of the disease...however, let us be progressives, and stop all this naked animosity towards the unfortunate victims of Ebola....
