It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Will strike solve the problem? Dialogue will be appropriate thing to do.Avoid unnecessary suspicion of government. Most workers are also ignorant about this fund management.

I can't trust any union or association with my pension fund in an era when the practice of some of the Unions are in contravention with the constitution of Ghana;
Article 21
(1) All persons shall have the right to -
(e) freedom of association, which shall include freedom to form or join trade unions or other associations, national or international, for the protection of their interest.
Currently, some unions or Associations forcefully make some workers their members and authorize controller to deduct the Union's dues from the worker's salary.
Constitutionally, I think the worker should accept to be a member of an association and to give his/her consent for controller to deduct dues from his salary for the association. It is therefore unfortunate for controller to deduct the worker's salary for an association or Union without the consent of the worker. Its is also unfortunate that a worker who has been subjected to this unfair treatment has to seek the consent of the beneficiary association or union for that unlawful deduction to be stopped. This has caused some workers to suffer deductions from two associations or unions.
The most annoying of it all, some of these unions or associations have little information about them available. And access to this information by the supposed members is limited.
Clearly, these associations and unions are exploiting workers and flaunting the constitution of Ghana with impunity.
Ideally, the unions and associations are supposed to make available, information about them to the supposed members or workers for the worker to make an informed decision. This is however not done; the worker is forced or made a member of an association or union without the worker's consent.
Some of the unions to are battling over its membership and others trying to be autonomous e.g CLOGSAG/LGWU, HSWU.
I think if a system is not put in place to ensure that, the unions and associations comply with their own constitution and the constitution of Ghana; article 21(fundamental human rights) for that matter stop the current unlawful practices, workers will be better of in the current pension scheme than operationalization of the four pension schemes and entrusting it's management in the unions and associations.
NO NO I CAN'T TRUST ANY UNION WITH MY PENSION FUND AMIDST THE UNLAWFUL PRACTICES THAT HAVE POSSESSED THE CONSCIENCE OF SOME ASSOCIATIONS OR UNION.....
