When Ebola came to the fore in 1976, it did not kill that many as it wasn't that potent. Now, as it had killed over four thousand, it is quite obvious that its objective has been achieved and the virus had been stored as a biological weapon for future usage.
I dare anyone to dispute the fact the fact Ebola wasn't man-made and I hate to hear anyone linking the virus to those innocent animals in our forest. How long have these animals been living in our forest and why are they now exhibiting these deadly viruses?
If a powerful on this planet can douse blankets with small pox viruses and distribute it to some innocent natives with the intention of annihilating them, why can't poor Africans be exposed to Ebola with the sole intention of using us a "guinea pigs"?
Do we have "minds" in the West African sub-region who can dig deep and come out with the truth behind Ebola? Tweakai.

If the USA and UK want military presence in Africa against the express wishes of African governments, won't they find a more surreptitious way of doing this than releasing a man made Ebola virus in African countries that have shown no antagonism to the West, and then send soldiers there to meet their military needs in the area?
The CIA, Pentagon and the entire defense department already have all of Africa under their military feet. The only thing USA lacks in Africa is a permanent force. But their rapid deployment forces can still do the job, only with a little delay. Is the US Army so desperate that they have to create a pretense to send soldiers to Liberia, a country it can evade at any time it chooses?
The other conspiracy theory is that the test went wild (out of control), and the US response is an attempt to contain it. But why send in the army when this can easily be (mis)interpreted as an aggressive move in a case that is purely medical?
The US response is that the troops sent were specially trained for such interventions. The US has trained troops that will defend the US against a biological attack. If we accept the theory that the current Ebola outbreak is a biological warfare experiment gone wild, then we will have to accept the fact that it is the military that will be best equipped to fight it. Let's not forget that the military also includes medical personnel.
I believe there are certain things in this episode that many of us will not know of. This will increase the speculations.
I think Zaya Yebo (if he is the Zaya Yebo who was Commissioner for Sports of the early PNDC years when the guys were full of socialist enthusiasm) believes the conspiracy theories that he writes of here. But his suggestions are sensible and are independent of the truth value of the conspiracy theories. The solution to the crisis should solely in our own hands - the concerted effort by African leaders that Zaya Yebo is talking of. If we mobilize our own resources, we can do it. But do the African leaders have the will? Some of us doubt it. Meanwhile our people are dying...
