  If u are a Christian, then it's wrong because Bible says do not love the world nor the things in it...( 1 John 2:15) .Secular music feeds the flesh but Galatians 5:16 advice us to walk in the Spirit.

  What is the point of this article? The author did well by distinguishing gospel songs from secular songs. But is his application is lacking in some sense. The author could be pardoned if the supremacy of the bible is not source of his application.
  
  As he rightly pointed out the gospel is about the redemptive work of God through his son Jesus on the cross. He failed to point out that the main purpose of the gospel is not for amusement. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The Gospel is the liberating force that sets the captives free. It is not a troublesome word at all
  
  Secular music is mainly for amusement and excitement of emotions. Based on these differences, the person who claims to sing gospel is a vessel of the Most High God who is Holy in every aspect of his being. This God of the bible demands his servants be Holy as he is. Well we humans can't match his Holiness and he has made a way by his blood of Jesus to make it possible to approach him. Please refer to the old testament to see how the Priest who did not measure up to the standard of his Holiness perished in the presence of Jehovah.
  
  With this premise in mind, please tell me how secular artist and some gospel musicians whom the author claims, do consult third party evil spirit could claim they are singing gospel?
  
  Dear author please rethink your position if you are attempting to make a case that it is fine for gospel to sing secular songs. The secular folks can attempt some gospel but the their sacrifice should be evaluated in this light by the way this is the standard for gospel musicians too: "will God accept this sacrifice? Will it bring glory to God? Will the spiritual backing of the song set the captives free or will the captives be further submerged?

  He should be quoting 1 Corinthians 10:23

  Can you imagine Nii Okai singing secular in a pub, night club or anywhere and then comes to church the next day to lead praise and worship...... I bet you will be the first to call him out.
