Could you also remember that Rawlings used to incite TUC workers to strike against Liman's government in order to over throw it fraudulently? And could you remember that he used to take 'Kenkey' to Legon to demonstrate how the size had shrunk under Liman, and we ended up in the "Rawlings's Chain" but nobody could talk? Could you further remember that Acheampong and Rawlings used the mild IMF conditions under Busia and Liman respectively as justifications for overthrowing their governments deceitfully? Could you still remember that PNDC reintroduced IMF and the World Bank with more stringent conditions after the coup without apologizing to Liman?

I don't know what the leftists are talking about, and I don't believe that NPP is behind the present wave of strikes either. As far as I know, NPP is only highlighting the failings and excesses of the government, hopping to translate them into votes for the party in the next elections. And that is, in fact, genuine and legitimate politics because the failings are true and not false. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under the NDC government is unbearable, and NPP is democratically seizing the opportunity to convince the electorate not to vote for NDC in the next elections.

Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with an opposition highlighting the failings of an incapable government to wrestle power from it democratically. NDC is the cause of the strikes because of higher levels of corruption, over spending, reckless borrowing and economic mismanagement that have brought untold hardship on Ghanaians.

This is very important. I have made serious claims that Muslim observers are watching carefully to know whether or not there is any truth in what I am saying. So far, apart from insulting, the facts of my arguments remain unassailable.

Guess what Mahmoud there is not and has never been a chaos free nation on earth. Seeming tranquility in some nations come as a result of effective law enforcement institutions.

So it is either your lack of intellectual honesty or lack of logical thought processing that brings you to your emphatic conclusions that Nkrumah was behind worker agitations, Rawlings behind TUC agitation but the current wave of unrest could not come from an NPP that by its own foundations and founding fathers would not allow anyone to govern Ghana peacefully that is not from their brand and party. You want to see wisdom at work and at play or foresight prior to even the best of nations then look to Nkrumah. Nkrumah banned organizations hell bent on using terrorism as their only tool before it became fashionable for Western civilized nation to implement detentions without trial of anyone suspected of terrorism or thinking. That Mahmoud is a sign of intellectual superiority what you and your intellectual wanna-be NPP do is for the birds.

As for Okoampa, the less said about him, the better. I wonder why you even bother writing anything about that guy. He has written so many articles to ghanaweb (some 2000 to date) that he has even forgotten some of those articles and the points he made in them. This makes him easily contradict himself as you have so eloquently pointed out.

Let Bawumia, who Okoampa is painting today as the best economist Ghana has ever produced, resign from NPP and join forces with any of the parties that have their strongholds in the North and you will see what will come out of Okoampa's mouth.

Okoampa has no principles. The only reason he supports NPP is because of Akufo-Addo who he claims is his uncle. (The reason many Ghanaians will NOT vote for NPP is exactly because of Akufo-Addo. Personally, I will never vote for a party that people like Okoampa and Adofo support! And I will never join an organisation that accepts them...)

But your analysis of the supposed Muslim link is the best part of your piece. Either NPP is blind or they are so bent on gaining power that they throw away principles. I am sure it can also be some of them wanting a visa to travel to Korea. This is a party that aligns itself with the Conservatives in the US whose base is the Fundamentalist Right - people who denounce Islam and hold the Bible literally as containing the inerrant message of God.

And Bawumiah himself doesn't seem to know what he is doing. He doesn't see how he is being used by an ultra-tribalist party to do its dirty work. He will see that when it comes to time for him to be chosen as Presidential Candidate (not running mate) of the party. Then he will see what those Akans praising him today really think of him.

There is one little historical fact I want to point out. I think the matemeho alliance with the Northern muslim based parties may have dated to before the Avoidance of Discrimination Act (1957). The tribal based parties the act banned were not only the Northern and Matemeho ones as Ga and Ewe/Anlo based ones too were affected. But these didn't make any alliance with the NLM - not until later and reluctantly as part of the UP. The only thing common to them was their hatred of Nkrumah.

Anyway, that is another story...

I told you yesterday that I was going to deal with Okoampa. And I have delivered it! I can see a funny comment claiming we are one and the same person! That in itself is not as funny as seeing these NPP goons calling me "Pepeni" and thinking that is the best way to help Bawumia to rake in Muslim votes!

The funny thing is that they would be still surprised to see that only stupid people from the North turn up voting NPP! Instead of appealing to the wise ones who are in the majority, they somehow think the best way to win Muslim votes is to insult Northerners! What a bunch of strange idiots!

These same people will be the first to spring out their "pink sheets" to cry foul! They are like children, they build statues of snow and weep when the sun melts them down! I take comfort that even Okoampa, after being smoked out of his rat hole, had nothing sensible to say!
