GHANA'S CHILDREN ARE CARRYING TRAYS ON THEIR HEADS SELLING WATER, BREAD, FRESH FRUITS, CELL PHONE CHARGERS, ONIONS, YAM, ANYTHING THEY CAN SELL AND THEY RUN INBETWEEN CARS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING FOR DECADES! AT LEAST 50 YRS! BUT IT HAS EVEN GOT WORSE OVER THE YEARS BECAUSE OF THE INFLUX OF FAMILIES INTO ACCRA TO SEEK BETTER OPPORTUNITIES?THIS IS SUCH A NATIONAL DISGRACE!
MEANWHILE CHILDREN UP TO 18 YRS OLD IN EUROPE AND AMERICA HAVE BEEN GETTING FREE EDUCATION ALL THESE YEARS. HOW IS GHANA GOING TO BE A GLOBAL PLAYER WITH THESE COUNTRIES? CHILDREN UP TO 18 YRS OLD SHOULD HAVE FREE EDUCATION PERIOD! GHANA HAS ABUNDANT RESOURCES TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN! GOLD, DIAMONDS, BAUXITE, COCOA, TIMBER, FRESH FOOD PRODUCE AND NOW OIL!
NEEDLESS TO SAY "A EDUCATED POPULATION IS AN ENLIGHTENED SOCIETY"
SEEMS GHANA AND AFRICAN GOVERNMENTS LIKE TO KEEP THE MASSES UNEDUCATED AND POOR THAT WAY THEY CAN STAY IN POWER TOO LONG MISMANAGE OUR ASSETS AND CONTINUE TO CHOP OUR COUNTRY WITH NO CONSEQUENCES WHAT SO EVER. WHILE WE EDUCATED LOOK ON? SURPRISING AND SHOCKING?
EDUCATED GHANAIAN PROFESSIONALS IN GHANA AND ABROAD READING THIS ASK YOURSELVES "WHAT WOULD MY LIFE HAVE BEEN LIKE IF I COULD NOT READ AND WRITE? " THINK OF ALL THE OPPORTUNITIES LIFE HAS AVAILED YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE LITERATE! WHY DO WE ALL SIT BACK AND LET GHANAIAN CHILDREN, OUR FUTURE CONTINUE TO BE DEPRIVED OF A NECESSARY NEED TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL AS HUMAN BEINGS SO THEY CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE NEEDED DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESS OF OUR COUNTRY GHANA?
WE EDUCATED FOLKS ARE TRULY FAILING OUR COUNTRY. LET US ALL USE OUR VOICES, HANDS AND FEET AND MAKE A LOT OF NOISE FOR FREE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND EVEN SOME ADULTS TO HAPPEN FAST BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD FOR GHANA.
