  Good piece of work. I wonder why the usual technical know how people of Ghana are not commenting in their numbers. If it had been a topic on NDC/NPP, all so called think tanks will be coming in with senseless analysis. These are the real issues that need addressing . Keep it up.

  The following is a result of the failure of the state to play its rightful role as a referee, planner, and the engender of conducive milieu.
  
  "In what people would consider as coming from the horse’s own mouth, Rev Prof Emmanuel Martey, Moderator of the General Assemble of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), in a sermon at the beginning of June, chastised pastors who are only in the holy ministry to milk the flock and amass wealth at the expense of the needy and the poor. In Ghana, unfortunately, the prevalence of hypocrisy easily prevents people from seeing things as they are."
  
  Massa, until we get this basic building block, or fulcrum right, manna will never fall from the heavens to put policies, systems, action plans and what have you, in place for us to do the right things. Nothing is going to change and the status quo will persist.
  
  We will be just marking time, or worst, retrogressing - talk about shifting into reverse gear.
  
  
  We are a nation without the following:
  
  Right To Information Act
  
  Permanent Records Keeping System
  
  Elected Independent Prosecutor
  
  Comprehensive Address System and house to house mail delivery system
  
  Biometric unique ID cards with pictures, security numbers, and residential address; this is what happens:
  
  Here's part of Dr. Nduom's wish for 2015,
  
  The statement continued that Dr. Nduom wished that President John Dramani Mahama would support the people’s wish for the 1992 Constitution to be amended to allow the people to elect their own District/Municipal/Metropolitan Chief Executives.
  
  Also the president would ensure that the 1992 Constitution was amended to separate the Office of Attorney-General from the Ministry of Justice so that an Independent Prosecutor could lead a serious effort in the war against corruption. - Dr. Nduom
  
  If we want solutions, then we should imagine Ghana in 50 years henceforth and implement it today. As a example, it's projected that the population is going to be triple to 75 million. Well, why should we wait til then to tackle it, instead of immediate planning and preparing today.

  Finally, how about Nana completing Atopa's Streets naming project he commenced a while ago with house numbering, area codes, mail delivery/personnel mechanism at least, for job creation and formalizing the informal sectors of the economy?

  · Urban Planning and Development.
  
  · Marketing analysis.
  
  · Retail planning and management of territory.
  
  · Determination of insurance premiums by insurance companies.
  
  · Loan risk analysis and identification of customers by banks.
  
  · Local government tax collection analysis, projections and targeting.
  
  · Utilities planning and billing.
  
  · Incorporation to national identification system.
  
  · National electoral register.
  
  · Credit profiling of citizens.

  If we fail to plan, facilitate to engender favouring conditions such as planning for sufficient or decent power/energy availability in order for businesses to thrive; why wouldn't our GDP retrogress or decline? Why would FDI increase in the country?
  
  Why should the citizenry behave properly, and be responsible, or accountable, if the we failed to promulgate policies, schemes, and programs like those listed above?
  
  Of course, we would result to faster ways of seeking respite because the prevalence of hypocrisy easily prevents people from seeing things as they are.

As a matter of fact, while i read your article, i cried my heart out because i don't seem to grasp how we have come from the peaceful-God-fearing-hospitable-loving-people to money-riches-property-driven-creatures. All in the guise of God (Allah), Onyankopong, etc; etc. My heart bleeds everyday when I read about the upsurge of churches and so-called men of God; it begs to wonder if we are on the verge of civil strife soon? I cannot predict but I can say with all certainty that if we do not exercise constraints in our dealings with these so-called churches and their men of God, we will be plunged in civil war soon. Most of the wars being fought around the world are all due to religious intolerance and wealth seekin. Every believer or leader of a religious group jostling to become the best; thereby making predictions as well as taunting the other. Look at the Middle East, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and India so speak. Don't look too far but Nigeria. Are we next? Most of these areas have oil and as we know, that natural mineral is the top of all evils. Ghana has become a two-income nation (rich and the poor). The middle class has instinctively evaporated leaving the economy as rusted as cast iron. It is time for stock taking.
