Hutus and Tutsis lived in harmony for centuries until one crazy tribalist like Ken Agyapong incited them against each other. What has Hohoe got to do with anything? Aren't you the one who was calling for a journey to Kigali? You and Ken Agyapong are part of the reasons why Akuffo Addo will never win any other region beside Ashanti region and Eastern. Mark my word, he will do worse than both attempts in 2008 and 2012!!!!

The Tsutsis have never forgiven the indigenous Hutus for allowing themselves to be conquered and exploited by the former who, for centuries, held the largely sedentary and agrarian in abject contempt with subsequent help from European colonialists . This is why President Paul Kagame is busy trying to falsely rewrite the bloody "colonial" history between the Hutus and the Tsutsis.
Hohoe matters here, because one of the Trokosi Boys tried to roil a storm out of the largely benign Akyem-Ofoase Zongo Affair, which had absolutely nothing to do with the indigenous Akyem residents.

We will "ambulance-chase" for once. For, you see, a while back, we took this columnist to task for disparaging Zongos and the People who live in those areas.
1. Some of the reports seemed to indicate the group, or some others, were actually using that name.
2. The video clearly showed several young men whipping a woman/girl, in public, for buying food from a "Christian", and to the delight of many persons who did not intervene, but rather assisted. (If true, would that be the first and only "case"?).
3. That Nigerian outfit did not start precisely in the brutal manner they now operate in northern Nigeria. It escalates, if unchecked.
4. Therefore, it is not enough that the police confer with the "elders" who claim to be interested in kids going to school. Police need to go to that community and talk to the woman/girl on the tape and her attackers - to investigate, a ala Kwaw Kese style. More than that, police need to talk to other women/girls outside the presence of the "elders", to clearly understand what is going on over there.
ITEM: In this case, a community/Islamic standard is not necessarily complaint with, or respectful of, national standards. We owe more to the weak and voiceless in our mini-communities.
