Mohammed's former secretary(scribe) was also beheaded by Mohammed when Muslims captured Mecca because he defected to paganism and was going around telling the pagans of Mecca how corrupt the quran was because he personally influenced it, sometimes with the approval of Mohammed.

Again, 900 Jewish men were beheaded and their wives and daughters raped on the same day of the beheading in Medina because a Jewish boy was alleged to have mock a muslim man.

It is therefore not true that Mohammed reacted differently any time he was ridiculed. Your claims are not surprising because the Islamic religion permits the use of deception in winning souls for Allah often referred to as tuiqqya of taqqyya. And that is exactly what you have done.

Sadat, there are so many things wrong with Christianity. There are many things wrong with Islam too. The attempt to say Islam is different is not convincing at all.

Islam is not the fastest growing religion in the world. There are not many people CONVERTING to Islam. Islam is growing in Islamic countries with high birth rates. Anybody born into Islam cannot convert to any other religion. It is called APOSTASY punishable by - yes: DEATH.

Mohamed was peaceful when he was weak. When he became powerful, he did not show the same peaceful nature again. The followers of Muhammad did many terrible things in the name of Islam AFTER the prophet died. Muslims are still killing each other (and others) today on doctrinal grounds like Christians did in the Middle Ages.

The fault is in regarding one religion (or any religion for that matter) as the only true one and trying to deny the bad aspects of it.

The Paris massacres and others like it have strong underlying motives that have nothing to do with religion. The author tried to point some of these out but is, himself, blinded by wrapping everything in a religious cloak. We won't get the correct answers that way.

It is very strange for all of us because in the end, NONE or us is even sure or has any certain proof that there is life after death. We don't know even that...

I grew up most of my adult life in Salaga in the the North and Akwatialine, just opposite the Central Mosque( masachi 'n jim'mah) in Kumasi and know exactly what I'm talking about when I say you and your pretending lot are intolerant. You see as long as muslims avoid addressing the violence cited in the quran, these killings would never stop. Those doing these killings believe it is the only way a muslim is sure of going to heaven and the rewards of 70 virgins. Anything shorter than this, it would only be the will of Alla, even so if the righteousness of the candidate out weighs his bad deeds. I do not agree with you that the majority of muslims are peace loving. Some are but great number of them are not but that is not to say that there aren't good muslims, there are many. Being peacefull is not the same as being good. When the news reached us in the morning of 9/11, all my muslim colleagues jubiliated and l found that very strange. Are you out of your head? How many times have you written such articles to denounce Boko Haram in Nigeria? As we read this, a 10 year old girl has just been exploded, I mean by remote, killing over 19 in Northern Nigeria.

Let me tell you this: Your religion would have long been extinct if there's no killing over apostasy, so don't amuse yourself too much. Watch, as the whole world begin to tackle Islam, after the massacre in Paris.

Finally, they must understand that in Belgium with its Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious festivals, religion must remain in the private domain. The municipality of Ath was right to refuse any concessions to Islam and Sharia.

For Muslims that disagree with secularism and do not feel comfortable in Belgium, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries in the world, most of them under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in accordance with Shariah.

If you left your country for Belgium, and not for other Muslim countries, it is because you have considered that life is better in Belgium than elsewhere.

Ask yourself the question, Why is it better here in Belgium than where you come from?

First and foremost, Islam is not in a fair competition with any religion for which Muslims should be proud to always boast of their growing numbers over other believes.
There is not a single muslim majority country in the world where non-muslims are allowed to practice their faith, let alone convert muslims.
Unlike other religions, Islam is the only religion whose scriptures order the killing of people who leave the religion, even if they never chose it but were muslims by virtue of birth.
Muslims also have a higher birth rate than non-muslims and in terms of convertions, christians win more converts than muslims despite the restrictions placed on them by muslims.
These are the factors that favor islam over other beliefs and no rational muslim should be overly excited and feel proud because of their numbers. Take these factors away and let's see where Islam lies.
In any case what has your numbers contributed to humanity if not wickedness and evil. You are like wolfs, you seem harmless when few, but as your numbers increase, so also your danger to other people.

They all also oppress the weak, minorities and vulnerable in society such as women, gay, lesbians, etc and again, particularly, Islam.

The west in general ridicule all religions including christianity but particularly, Islam because Islam is the most intolerant, inflexible and unadaptable so it gives room for the media to have a go at it.

Why is it that in the 21st Century humans are stoned to death in the name of religion, legs and arms are amputated in the name of religion? Are these not barbaric, inhumane, degrading and uncivilised? Islam must adapt to changing conditions or its misguided followers will abuse its name to murder, kill and cause mayhem in the hope that they will force all to conform to their religious and ideological beliefs, which will not happen.

You posed questions regarding being unable to ridicule Jews and gays. To the best of my knowledge and experience in equality as well as UK equality legislation, Jews and Sikhs are protected under Race Relations legislation. This is because whilst other religions are ethnically diverse, the two religions are predominantly from Israeli and Indian backgrounds respectively and in addition to the fact that, they are in the minority . Gays are also minorities and therefore must be protected. That explains why the laws in the developed world give them such protection. Islam is one of the oldest religion with billions of followers from varied ethnic backgrounds, so what protection does it need?

God in his infinite wisdom gave humans the ability to think and question what is around them, to make decisions in their best interests. If some prophet or a man we believe was God in person said something centuries ago, why should that be applied today without question, come what may?

I wanted to write an article and pose very debatable and controversial questions about the holy spirit conception and birth of Jesus and the existence of Prophet Muhammed but I know Ghanaweb will not publish it.

I am a Christian (of the Catholic faith)and believe in God. However, I do not subscribe to the teachings of the faith on abortion and the use of condoms. I also want to question the holy spirit conception of Jesus and wonder if Jesus was an illegitimate child so this beautiful story was created after he became powerful in life. I believe that if DNA Science existed in those days, Jesus should have been subjected to a DNA test. How come since Jesus no other has been conceived by the holy ghost?

In the same way, Islam's prohibition of any form of representation of the Prophet Muhammed makes me question whether such a prophet ever existed or if he existed, could he have been very strange in appearance? This because I find it very difficult to understand why a human that lived and existed cannot be represented in any form. It does not make sense, does it?

I know most people will consider the questions I posed as blasphemy but if we do not question some beliefs, we will continue with this problem of terrorism forever.
