Otumfuo is behaving like spoiled brat and the earlier his advisers or Asanteman admonish him the better for Asanteman and Ghana at large. We are sick and tired of his outbursts.

Is Otumfuo the only chief in the Nation? If not, why is he always in the new for the wrong reason? Either captured on tape where someone is mentioning his name about Cocaine or some stupid stuff about politics.

Okyenhene can say anything he likes in the Country and nothing happens because he has no affiliation with neither the NPP nor NDC. And that is what it should be. Developing any part of the Country should not be tied to any friendship with the sitting President. That should be his solemn duty. It is even silly to hear this from the King. The fact that you want development for your people does not mean you have to bring the kingdom in disrepute.

And what development are we talking here?

Lights at the old airport so that the rich can fly straight out from Accra to Kumasi at anytime they reach Accra? How does that help the Afua Mansa at Barekese or Seidu Musa at Offinso or Endurance Dogbe at Ayigya or Emelia Yawson Bannerman at Fante NewTown?

The people of Ashanti have been used as Guinea pigs for the last 5 years or so in the name of a so called pilot program. Why is this spoiled brat not using his "connection" with Mahama to end the NHIS capitation guinea pig program in the Ashanti Region which is causing a lot of unnecessary and preventive death in the Region?

I don't even believe Mahama and his handlers were the one that requested the song- YENTIE OBIA- to be played at that private meeting. It was Otumfuo who wanted to take a swipe at his people to let NDC folks and the world know that he could care less about what his people say. Common sense tells me Mahama would not be that stupid to play the song again in front of Otumfuo when even his own people like Asiedu Nketia has condemned the choice of the music.

So after taking a swipe at your chiefs and people why do you want them to defend in stupidity? If he wants to choose the deputy minister to be his Bantamahene- the warrior king- he should go ahead and spare us this idiocy and arrogance.

Otumfuor has been undiplomatic as far his association with this government is concerned. And whichever way I look at it I cannot understand why the Otumfuor will come anywhere near this government. There are elements in this Mahama government who a few years ago spoke unpalatably about him and Asanteman. So for him to sup with the enemy will naturally incur the wrath of his subjects. If no chief is defending him, he should look at himself and honestly accept that he is the architect of the disdain that most Asantes have for him now.

When he came to the Kumasi stadium to watch important fixtures involving Kotoko, on arrival at the stadium, fans both home and away in the stadium would stand up until he has sat down, we would keep standing as sign of respect. He waved to fans and there were cheers all over the place. He was above politics. May be he was respected because my generation then did not know anything about his background. He should let us know what advice he has given to the Okyehene to ensure that their revered river doesn't get even worse than the muddy waters it has now turned to.
