You are wasting your time and your life......

1. Did all the kingmakers gather at Otumfuor's palace or not? If they did, they accepted his power and jurisdiction and can therefore not turn around and deny his power after your side lost.

2. This matter went beyond the Otumfuor's court to the orthodox one where your faction lost again. So upon what basis are you now claiming that you had a good cause?

3. My only issue with this whole business is the destoolment of certain chiefs after the new king was inaugurated. That to me was not a good political strategy nor a posture for unification......

4. Beyond the foregoing concern, I don't see anything Otumfuor has done wrong in this matter. The most dangerous thing that can happen to the kingdom is anybody to reverse anything on account of your infantile rantings. Consider the kingdom dead if anybody listened to your maniacal tirade!!

You don't think the fact that they were not allowed to say much in their defense regarding the Queen mother's allegations as an injustice? Based on the fact that Kontihene is in charge of the town and also the one who brought the case to Manshyia's attention, he should have been the one to lay the case before Otumfuo instead of been interrupted by Otumfuo to give the Queen a chance to speak first(uninterrupted). He was interrupted again when he tried to answer the queen's allegations to allow Gyaasehene(the queen's co-lair)to speak uninterrupted.
Now let's supposed you were representing the other party who has taken the case to court. You thing Otumfuo, Mansonkwantahene and all the others were right in saying the Queen should be allowed to install a king without addressing the alleged Bribery involving the Queen and the King makers? Please read the Warrington Notes on Ashanti Customs, The Position of the Chief in the Modern Political System of Ashanti, Acts of Ghana Criminal Code, 1960(Act29 ammended Act,2003..Act646 and many others and you would would realized that Otumfuo's verdict was an injustice.

All the minutiae you are talking about has to do with due process...If you have a problem with due process, you appeal. And indeed, your side appealed, and whatever the Asantehene's court ordered was upheld by a higher and more authoritative orthodox court. If you are still not satisfied, you may go as far as the Supreme Court.
It is wrong to set up a parallel authority and debate an already adjudicated case in the bosom of a strident forum such as the ghanaweb. That constitutes disrespect for law and order. Wasn't it the Kontihene who sent the case to Manshia? How would you feel if your side had won and somebody had rejected the verdict and called for secession and mayhem? When you thought your side had won, didn't you write to hail the King's verdict right here on this forum?
And by the way, I don't subscribe to the destoolment of certain chiefs; I don't subscribe to the perpetual exclusion of any royal clan from ascending to the throne; but I don't see that your side is any better than anybody to become King. In fact, I don't respect or recognize so-called royal blood because of my fundamental position that all people are born equal, with nobody being more equal than the other...Thus Dr. Sarfo's rule will be determined not so much by the blood running through his veins, but by the prosperity he brings to Kumawu. But in this particular case, with the law clearly on his side, nobody can do anything.
Your side should retreat or rest.

I may have disagreed with the outcome one way or another,(for the Queen or against the Queen). But there are too many divisions in our Traditional Area already as it is, so to avoid further litigations and look forward to prosperity no matter who becomes a king, Otumfuo should have exercised proper judgement by ensuring each side is giving equal opportunity to present their case or refute a case. I also believe the bribery case should have been addressed and if so, Otumfuo should have asked all the parties involved to recuse themselves from installing a king. You don't see anything wrong with bribery? You might be a defense Lawyer, lol

You must move away from further discussing the due process insofar as your side sought redress in a court of law and still lost. If your side lost despite a so-called defective process and bribery allegation, you are not entitled to now prescribe a remedy: the court has already found that the evidence is insufficient to disturb the ruling of the King. Remember your side lost in spite of the problematic process and bribery allegation you eloquently describe. Live with it.
"Should have", "could have" or "would have" are all phraseologies whose time has now expired in the present context. You must live with the present status quo or engage in a Sisyphean exercise to subvert it. You will finally die trying.
Again, I am trying to reason with you as a seasoned attorney here in the USA.

I know in most, if not all places in the USA, bribery is a serious offense that would have been address by any prudent judge hearing a case, especially if the allegations were made by one of the people involve in the case(no one made the allegation buy my Queen mother herself). And USA aside, our laws in Ghana including ones instituted by Asantehene and many chiefs present at the time( I forgot the year) dictates that, if there is bribery involve in installing a king, that person should be dethroned. Please my dear attorney, I know you are busy practicing law in the USA but, take your time to read about our customs and traditions in the many publications including...The Warrington's Notes on Ashanti customes; the Position of the Chief in the Modern Political System of Ashanti. May be you can send excerpts to Our Asante Overlord while you are at it so he too may know that our ancestors condemn such practice.
And I know for a fact that in the USA where you practice law, the law works most of the time so the court would have at least hear the case before making a determination as to the validity of the plaintiffs argument. Unfortunately, it does not work that way in Ghana.

You should be ashamed of yourself and your continued attitude to disrespect Otumfuo and indirectly Asantes is precisely the reason we Asantes should seek to disentagle ourselves from this weak, pointless and prideless country called Ghana and called for Asante Nationhood/Asante Independence. We will get nowhere with a Ghana which has a deep historic hostility towards the Asantes.
