His family cannot defend the indefensible, I believe they've advised themselves and since u have decided to do that work we're only waiting to see where u'll get with this agenda. Any citizen who decides to collaborate with foreign power to overthrow the government of his birth is not worth celebrating.

  Above all that you have said about JB Danquah, a man or woman's worth is not what he or she has achieved for himself or herself but what he or she has done for others in fulfilment of the higher ideals of civilised societies. This is what distinguishes Nkrumah from JB Danquah, and why even the whole of Africa adores Nkrumah but has no idea who JB Danquah was. While Nkrumah's vision, social and political philosophy and all that he stood for was for the freedom and happiness of the African masses JB Danquah was filled with disdain for the same masses; while Nkrumah stood for the total liberation of the blackman from oppression of all sorts, JB Danquah and Busia were against the liberation of the blackman saying that we were not ready for self-government. JB Danquah's sense of an independent Ghana can be summed up as (i) one in which the masses were only fit to be ruled by the elites/chiefs, akin to the feudal system in which the masses would be subjected to a life of slavery and/or subservience; and (ii) an "independent" Ghana hanging unto the apron strings of the imperialist (as is happening now). As a man who loves his freedom I cannot be on the same page as the man who wants to take away this freedom, as JB Danquah and his henchmen wanted to do, and have actually succeeded doing after they connived with the imperialists to overthrow Nkrumah and restore the chains of imperialist oppression. My question is, as a nation, what is there to celebrate about JB Danquah? Are we better off today becuase of him, and those who succeeded him? I would hope that page of my country's history was never recorded.

  You must be in a drunken stupor to vouch that JBD was an innocent bystander who was mistakingly taken to prison.Even the idiot will tell you that the bomb throwing and the killing of innocent children did not just come from the sky.It was orchestrated by terrorist and of which our parliament rightly put them to cells at Nsawam not to roam the streets of Ghana causing mayhem.

  Arthur Kobina Kennedy ; the name sounds like another fante idiotic full who does not understand what democratic politics is about ; your piece like what the Danquah family and Nana Akuffo is attempting to do is attempting to rehabilitate JB Danquah rehabilte this man JB Danquah ; but the facts does not bear the truth ; the truth is that the idea that JB Daquah believed in Democracy was rubbish in the first ;what you should understand is that democracy is the proxy of the law; JB Danquah as lawyer and democrat understood perfectly the down side of democracy ; the knew democracy as an ideology is a complete fraud and a very subjective subject besides as a lawyer the man knew that the law as means to control human behaviour is a complete ASS; the combination of the is a toxic mix of dishonesty and fraud ; the question is what did JB Danquah do that prompted Nkrumah to jail the guy besides what you should understand is that people are not IDIOTS and know that something might have happened; and this idea that he helped pick the name Ghana ; is this an achievement by a man of his status ; if you name your new baby Kwesi or Ama have you achieved anything; besides people contribute to the law all the time and so what is the BIG DEAL about this ;JB Danquah did not have a pionerring role in our independence other people contributed even far better besides did JB Danquah win any elections in Ghana ; the TRUTH is the man never won anything in Ghana because it is no point calling yourself a good manager when you do not win anything .

J B Danqua is a great man by all standard but you can't discount the fact he also did some things wrong and his followers and supporters were wicked with very bad intentions and didn't care tearing the country apart to achieve their aim.
  Doc u failed to say that those in the Danquah tradition and Ghanaians should equally apologized to Kwame Nkrumah and his family.
  You believe to died in prison is inhuman and not right but for a sitting President to be chased out of his country and to died in a foreign land as a pauper without his family present is normal. Cmon doc you are one of the fair minded persons in NPP I admire alot, so you must be balance at all times

  J Dankwa had a bigger appetite to be president but just like Nana Addo, he couldn't earn the trust of the masses. He went wild and wanted Nkrumah dead so he could be present but God was not going to allow that.
  J. B and Co taught that because they had invited Nkrumah to be secretary of UGCC then Nkrumah should be eternally indebted to them such that even if he finds them too dirty, he shouldn't break away. But Nkrumah was too competent to allow their unfounded bitterness to stop him. And all the God people of Ghana were behind him then and even now.
  NPP went heaven and earth to demonise Nkrumah for over 60 years now,but the more they tried, the more popular he becomes across the world. And he is even considered the best African of the millennium!!!. They attempted his life on more than two occasiona but the Good Lord said no.
  Long leave Ghana, long leave the name of Nkrumah.
