They left the good goalkeeper behind - the goalkeeper who could have caught at least one or two. Being in the post for Ghana to qualify and leaving him behind. Is he rusty? No then why?

I thought Asamoa Gyan claimed some time ago that his late mother asked him never to take penalties for Ghana again prior to her untimely death? Probably because she was unhappy with how Ghanaians abused him when he missed the 2010 World Cup penalty against Uruguay in South Africa?

Coach was scared and nervous about the penalties that is why his decision makes no sense......I was expecting Boye and Afful even ahead of Jordan...I am sure the coach stayed away from the penalty training and player selection for the penalties. Hope as time goes by we will know who made the selection...He, like Asamoah Gyan, is haunted by his past failure on penalties...
It is ridiculous for Gyan to say he does not understand why he was replaced..The line-up for penalties was decided before the match so he knew it and agreed to it. He is now looks bad and fears losing his captainship to Dede, who stood up to the plate, when it counted most.
Akwesi Appiah was scared or stage-frightened by the magnitude of the match but it took too long for the coach to replace him..Ghana was literally playing 9 against 11 as Gyan and Appiah were basically missing in action...no strikers

Truth be said the boys well and deserve praise however much we are hurting. Strange as it seems to me the sequence of penalty takers may be i still believe that everyone deserves a chance to be hero, brave and fearless that is what our national anthem says so grant gave acheampong his chance to replace the almighty gyan that is big respect from grant to acheampong, he also had the chance to be a legend but he suffered from nerves understadably for a young lad and history passed him by. I believe he will learn and the better it will be for him and us all. You need to be brave to be fortunate. Gyan deserves a statue yes, he gave his all even when he was ill, he had no service last night and bad offside calls. All the lads and team bs deserve our appreciation, the silly fans who started on jordan are now saying he should start over appiah. Now they have started on appiah and gyan and grant haba. If we learn to take a loss well then by all means we will win more than lose.

1 Did we pray?
2.Is prayer the same as request?
3.Did God want to punish Afriyie and Acheampong because they do not worship him?
4.Did God want to show the football
leaders cuz they have defiled God the almighty?
5. Is God not aware Ghana the faithful, Ghana ever sure, Ghana who cherish God so good have been trophy starved for thirty something years and needed it so as to glorify his name?
6 Did God promise and fail?
You may not agree with me on these submissions about our love, trust, and hope for years to come which we have consistently and steadfastly laid them in front of this very same God, the almighty, but to no avail.
Isn't it time to realize that it does not pay to shift our energies, trust, self reliance, determination, and hard work unto such unproductive and wasted energies/man-hours like churching, vigil all night prayers, religious conventions, crusades and the ill motivated schemes currently invented by the quack pastors in the society like the "Pray For Me" schemes, funerals, weddings, corruption, favouratism nepotism, political field trips overseas shopping, what have you?
Just cast your eyes back to 1957 and bring it close to 2015 and evaluate the efforts and challenges, the untold hardships and make your own conclusions when I sheepishly conclude that:"Anokwa Onyame adi y3n hwanmmO paa"
This is truly true. God does not play football. neither does he favour one over the other. The differences in this life's lifeline is solely on, and by ourselves.
Beats Me.

Mahama Pray1
President John Mahama has urged Churches in Ghana to pray for victory for the Black Stars as the Senior national football team play Ivory Coast Sunday February 8, in the final game of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The Stars face the Elephants, in a replay of the Senegal 1992 final in which the Elephants won through penalty kicks.
It was the last time the Elephants won a continental trophy despite a golden generation of brilliant players.
The Ivoirians are keen to end their trophy famine and have an equally unwavering Ghana team to crack. Ghana is also determined to end their 33-year-trophy drought.
Pundits say the game will be a tough one for either side. Speaking at the annual convention of the Saviour Church of Ghana at Akyejm Osiem in the Eastern region on Saturday February 7, President Mahama said the Stars made it to the finals despite huge supporter skepticism and apathy.
He said the Stars can beat their Ivorian rivals if Churches in Ghana intervened for them spiritually.

It seems as Ghanaians we still haven't learnt any lessons from the 2010 world cup when it comes to penalty shoot out.
The question is why do u leave your best Goalkeeper who is known to be good in saving penalties on the bench? I'm referring to Stephen Adams. The same thing happened in 2010 when we left the U 20 Goalkeeper on the bench when it came to penalty shoot out.
Again, why do save your best penalty takers to the last when you have a 2 goal advantage? It baffles my mind. If Dede or Baba or even Afful had taken that penalty we wouldn't have been wailing n grumbling by now. I'm heart broken but nevertheless, let's congratulate n encourage them. Hopefully, one day we shall all smile.

Tony Baffoe again? What a coincidence? He was the last penalty player that made us lose in 1992. Now, was the last visitor to the team (very well published)this time. And we have lost again.

THE CAPTAINCY HAS TO BE TAKEN FROM GYAN .HE IS A COWARD
He can't explain because he requested to be substituted! He failed as a leader. No one was on the field to motivate the young boys. He abandon them as a leader but he wanted to lift the cup.
Eiii couldn't catch even one out of 11 kicks??? that should be the worst goalkeeper for penalty kicks.
They left the good goalkeeper behind - the goalkeeper who could have caught at least one or two. Being in the post for Ghana to qualify and leaving him behind. Is he rusty? No then why?
Ghanaians are ungrateful. Leave the goalkeeper alone. The mistake was made when instead of Dede Ayew and Agyemang Badu taking the third and fourth penalty, for a strange reason, Afiriyie Acquah and Frank Acheampong were selec ...
