  While the first is beautiful and peaceful, the second is ugly - destroying the beauty of the city and blocking the view of vehicle drivers, among some of the ugly reasons why suhc billboards SHOULD not be allowed.

  In fact, the not so novel devt. (as you pointed out, Africans carry out pol. activities overseas) could be shown to rather augur well for the sub-region, if eventual unity is the goal of ECOWAS.
  
  And for that so-called Nkrumaist, Vladimir, to take such an anti-pan Africanist stand really shows how cloudy-minded and confused some are. Jingoism taken to absurd levels and mistaken for patriotism and securing national security, methinks.

I am a Ghanaian by birth but grew up in the US and over the last forty two years I have lived in the US, I have never seen one Canadian billboard in the US about -Canadian presidential candidates campaigning for votes on American soil. My fellow Ghanaians, all the vilification of those who have opposed Nigerian presidential billboards in Accra is total Bull Shit. Ghana should never sell her soul for money. Ghana is for Ghanaians and not a play ground for Nigerians to wage their political campaign. There are more Nigerians living in Texas than in Ghana. Perhaps the Nigerian presidential candidates need to buy billboards in Texas and campaign there. Nigerian parties putting up billboards in Ghana is to draw Ghana into the mess that Nigeria is in now. Call Ghanaians xenophobic jokers, anti pan Africanist, or anything you want to call us, Nigerian officials never believed in ECOWAS until their economy was in a mess. Vladimir and all who oppose the Nigerian bill boards in Accra have done the right thing. Africans sold Africans into slavery for a bottle of gin. Those times are come and gone. Nigeria keep your bill boards in Nigeria and leave Ghana alone.

Thank you AMA for bringing them down. The advertising agency who owns the billboard should be fined for their lapse in judgement! Nigerian politics should stay within the walls of Nigeria- this should not even be up for debate.

  A basic acquaintance with the rudiments of logic would inform you that, the fact that the sun rises from the east the last billion (eon) years doesn't follow that it'd rise from the east tomorrow! So the fact THAT AN EVENT HASN'T HAPPENED BEFORE DOESN'T MEAN IT CANNOT HAPPEN. That's why we have precedent setting events. Thus, if Nigerians were allowed to mount billboards in Ghana, we can presume that it'd open the door for Ghanaians pol. parties to also mount such in Nigeria in the future on a reciprocal basis, if they feel like doing so.
  
  If whatever situation in Nigeria is acting as a catalyst to make them embrace the laudable ideals of ECOWAS, is that not good for the whole sub-region? Whatever the situation in Nigeria, it is targeted to become a BRIC nation within 25 years, with the size of its economy already surpassing that S. Africa. Ghana thus is going to need Nigeria more than the reverse.
  
  Lest I forget, I have seen Nigerian election posters on walls here in London.

  Please this is a sovereign country that makes decisions for itself. we have welcomed them here. we have given them places to live, some of them are married to our families, and we have every right to say that look, we dont want any billboards on your politics in our country and it is within within our rights to do so. You have the freedom to plant bill boards. next you will want to attack member of the other party because your party lost and we have to spend resources trying to keep you in order. we share everything with you, shelter, business, families, schools, hospitals, our inadequate water, dumsor power, and everything else, if you dont appreciate it because we wont let you erect bill boards then please, catch the next available flight to hell.
  
  And for the Ghanaians who sit there and criticise every decision that this country makes, please join them.

  But again since Mensah did not tell us his expertise it will be improper to think a caution by a security expert could be or should be ignored.
  Rightly said though just as Mensah also does not know the motivation or goals of Boko Haram in the example of Chad or Cameroon does not even come close to negate why they cannot attack Ghana on flimsy reasons.
  Who said the aim, reason or target of BH is homogeneous, it can change from day to day because it is terrorism.
