  Nothing could have changed the fortunes of the NDC in 2000. After 18 years of the P/NDC rule, Ghanaians wanted a change for change sake. Kuffour had the goodwill of the people but the Giselle, Ghana @50 and hotel gate dampened the spirit of the floating voters. 2004 could have gone any side. Had Alliu Mahama received the baton in 2008, I am believe it would have been a different story. Akuffo Addo is marketable no matter what!

  Kufuor DIDN'T WIN the 2004 elections. He rigged the elections and NPP Ministers themselves said it. Esseku and others said it, so don't fool anyone, OK?
  
  On the other hand, Kufuor has NOTHING whatsoever to teach anyone, let alone Akufo-Addo. In fact, Akufo-Addo shouldn't have given way to Kufuor; the order would have been long changed. Akufo-Addo in more intelligent than Kufuor and that recognition is aptly demonstrated long ago during Kufuor's presidency.
  
  Why won't some of you stop talking about Kufuor as if he were some kind of repository of wisdom and objectivity? We had faith in him after NDC messed-up affairs of the state and we were in dire need of bona fides citizen of Ghana to reverse the slippery slope we engaged. But the dude just did worse, stole everything, allowed others to do just the same, abused his position to created a large field to screw so many women. Now, you have the guts to erect a platform in a bid to whitewash his failed governance?
  
  When are some of you going to begin to think of Ghana? When people like you say such things, some of us weep. The reason is that, we believe no one else remains in Ghana who could distinguish between wrong and right, the good person and the bad ones!
  
  Anyway, Akufo-Addo will not be better. He did the wrong things as Attorney General and worse as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

There are some Ghanaians who will vote for Mahama again not because they think Mahama is doing well but just to make sure Akufo-Addo doesn't get it!

  Our opinion is, the Founder's Day will prove to be the most important legacy of President Atta Mills, for many reasons we do not care to cite here.
  
  Finally, and conversely, as you seem to sense, Samia's presence at the J. B. Danquah "death" event was in error. And so, the reality is, things began going downhill before Samia had even vacated that funeral scene.
  
  As we've said more than once, celebrating the "Birth" is the best way to preserve memory, IF we care about the justice of history, and the future yet to come! We all ought to recognize that Confederacy-Federalism died with J. B. Danquah, thanks to Nkrumah. That, being a tough row to hoe by one who is visionless and selfish, the Founder's Day is properly accepted and celebrated to honor Nkrumah for that singular achievement of Ghanaian Unity!
