  We agree!
  
  Seriously integrating solar power as alternative is a fool-proof solution to the energy requirements of the vast number of houses and even streets in towns and villages in Ghana.
  
  However tying the systems to the national grid will not be necessary or useful, until the Grid-systems are at a more matured (read "reliable-stable") level. The tie-ins do not improve grid performance, only capacity in the first order, but you must still get the power to stay on, in the first place. All this to stay, part of the idea is, it is not a simple matter to "Tie-To-Grid"!
  
  The problem though, is, the government does not really have an integrated plan that is sustainable even in this Dum-Sor era.
  
  That, we submit, is a mighty big shame!

  Of late the excessive craze for giass windows which works well in colder climates is a strain on the limited power supply the country has. I support the writer. In the developed world they have entered the third industrial revolution, where housing units are made to produce their own source of power without relying on the national grid.
