  oh my heart bleeds for my beloved country I am sad I am worried and completely devastated. I fear for mother Ghana. All these legacies all that we enjoyed as children growing up in Ghana are in the hands of wrong persons. The question is do we have a leader in Ghana , do we have a president? Who is in charge of Ghana let alone our zoo in Kumasi. Where are all the animals, dead ? who what killed them, hunger disease negligence? who will give us the answers?

  It is sad when u put a square peck in a round hole. How on earth do u employ a zoo manager who is not a veterinary doctor to treat animals when they are sick? Off course the animals will die.

  Do we actually have veterinarian on site? For God sake where are our brains as Ghanaians? Go to any other zoo in other countries and ask for yourself the professional competence of the staff and they will tell you they are animal health workers and not foot soldiers or government affiliates. God save Gh.

  there is so much indiscipline in Kumasi, it's not funny; you have chiefs exhuming dead bodies for re-burial somewhere so they can sell the lands for money and people building on water courses; that is madness

  Why are Ghanaian officials so poor at maintaining our established infrastructures? A zoo can be a money spinning and job generating enterprise even locally so why can't we replace the animals when they die or are they secretly eating them as bush meat?? Why are we so mediocre in our thinking and performance in everything???? Please, you people should sit up and justify your employment now! Just visit the Parks and Gardens place in Accra and see what a sad place it has become with the employees sitting around doing nothing, showing no pride in what they should be doing but show no hesitation in collecting their undeserved salaries!!

  i wasted my time and resources to do my final year thesis in the zoo. now look at what is happening. they've not even open the book i presented to them at least to see what i recommended.
