This is not the time to come up with any silly fiat simply to earn the praise of the World as being very democratic and pro-affirmative action while that decision is surely going to dim the fortunes of the NPP coming to power in 2016.
Is the leadership of the NPP telling its teeming power-hungry supporters that having females in Parliament is the only way to show affirmative action? Why not concentrate on winning power now and then offer a lot of appointments to females in the administration of the country?
This action of the party hierarchy is lending some credence to the suspicion that some top men in the party are not ready to assume the reins of power in 2016 with Nana Addo as the leader.
Ghanaians yearning for a change will never forgive them if they go ahead with such a self-defeating fiat.
