Speaking of Adinkra, the word has made it to even the vocabulary of theoretical physics (See Wikipedia).
Thanks to the famous black astrophysicist, Dr Sylvester James Gates, who was inspired by Adinkra symbols during a visit to Ghana, the symbols are now used to define an aspect of String Theory and Supersymmetry.
The concept "Adinkra" also features in Dr. Kofi Kissi Dompere's scientific and mathematical analysis of Nkrumahism. Dr. Dompere calls it "Adinkralogy" or "Adinkramatics."

Dear Tekonline.org,
What's up?
The concept "Adinkra" also features in Dr. Kofi Kissi Dompere's scientific and mathematical analysis of Nkrumahism. Dr. Dompere calls it "Adinkralogy" or "Adinkramatics."
Of course, you also right to mention its use in finding solutions to super-symmetry problems in theoretical physics (string theory).
Importantly, its mathematical usage is termed "Adinkramatics" and the underpinning philosophical dimension (of "Adinkramatics") is "Adinkralogy."
The application of Adinkralogy and Adinkramatics inches closer to Ron Eglash's work on African fractals! This is not too much of a stretch, though!
Have a great week!
Thanks.

As Marcus has clearly emphasized, STEMIC should be the backbone of any curriculum. In today's world, even pastors are expected to understand technical terms such as BTU (for British Thermal Units) in order to make informed decisions when deciding which the type of air-conditioner a church building might need.
Regarding home education, parents should endeavor to cultivate the sense of CURIOUSITY in the young. Curiosity is the single force behind most scientific pursuits and discoveries. Children must be allowed to ask questions, no matter how tough: why is the sky blue, why do we have two eyes, how do birds fly, how do pictures get inside the TV set, how are cell phones able to call other cell phones, and so on.
Parents need not be educated to provide answers, but can promote even further inquiry in the minds of the young ones, by participating in the act. If a child asks, "Daddy, why is the sky blue?", one suitable non-Physics answer could be, " Hmmm, I've always wondered. Study hard so that you can help find out someday".
Schools, as part of creative thinking exercises, can also inculcate in students the habit of being curious and asking questions without restrictions.
Every week, students can be encouraged to bring intriguing questions to class for general fun discussions.

Good point for discussion but how do we as parents influence the developing of the curriculum for our children at school?

Homosexuality is nothing special, and of course students should be aware of the many wrong perceptions out there, such as the perception that a male homosexual would need to wear a diaper at a certain age.
I wished this sex-ed was standard everywhere.
Then culture as religious founded concern should not be taking iinto account. As a social constructivist, cultures and religions have come and gone. Even the ones reproduced, as we speak, are forever hybrids. If your cultural or religious ideas conflict with reality, then you can't change reality, but you can redefine your culture or religion to adapt to reality.

Kwesi the debate is not just the reality but even if it is, when do we teach our children about it and must be trusted to do this well. Age-appropriateness is the concern her.
