  With the Executive Director of the Danquah Institute unable to defend the CIA agent status of Danquah, it came as no surprise that Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., would naturally step in to save the situation. What we need to make clear is the fact that we know that there is hardly a Danquah follower who did not know that Danquah was a CIA agent, even though they would vehemently deny it in public, just as Danquah himself did in his time. The only hitch this time is that both in terms of content and author, they are finding it impossible to challenge Richard Mahoney's assertions that J. B. Danquah's family received CIA stipends when he was in prison. We are dealing with people who would ask you for the receipts to prove that the CIA was paying any money to Danquah. Thus, it is exceptionally fortuitous that the facts and the evidence came from a completely unexpected source.

  1. Surely, every village idiot knows "human beings...matter", that human beings are above grass, above trees, above drums, above cowries, above goats, etc.
  
  2. Every Ghanaian/African worth their weight in their favorite soup knows that "the liberty of the individual" does not trump the interest(s) of the village/community in which they live.
  
  3. The progressive and ultimate end of so called "the liberty of the individual" is federalism, confederation, anarchy, and secession, in/of the community. And the good news is the Danquah-confederates lost! Nkrumah, with his Unitary vision, won, and Ghana won big, as a result!
  
  4.   OUR COMMENT: It is funny that even in the comfort of his home, our Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ph.D. must use "obliquely appeared". What is that about, we must ask?
  
  5. With respect to Dr. Amoako-Baah's talk, we only have two (2) comments: (1) It is clear that Dr. Amoako-Baah does not know anything about American history to allow him to pontificate like so!
  
  ITEM: President Lincoln presided over the American Civil War and led the Union to victory over the Confederate in the south (1861-1865)! In other words, Nkrumah humanely did to the Danquah-Busia confederates what Lincoln did to the American confederates in the US South, in total, destructive war.
  
  Then Lincoln freed the slaves in Confederate lands by PROCLAMATION, thereby expropriating the "assets" of the slave owners in the South, and effectively trampling over "the liberty of the individual(s)" who owned the slaves!

  "And here, it is significantly instructive to observe that none of the myriad putsches and coup detats have been staged by any other than bona fide members of the Ghanaian military. Granted, some rascal civilians are known to have staunchly backed regressivley Darwinian means of political access, including a world-renowned University-educated former prime minister. Interestingly, in July 1956, when President Nkrumah's Convention People's Party (CPP) won a landslide victory, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia rode herd on a delegation to the British office in London, to petition the British Crown, and Ghana's extant colonial overlord, to desist from granting the already-scheduled return of Ghana to self-governance. Fortunately, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia and his right-wing bourgeois reactionaries did not succeed. He would, however, succeed ten years later in backing the military junta that unseated the Nkrumah administration and facilitated the precipitous devolution of Ghanaian national destiny.
  
  Indeed, it is interesting to observe that Ghana's major and, to-date, only international airport is named for General E.K. Kotoka, the very Darwinian outlaw who spearheaded the grossly unimaginative overthrow of the constitutionally elected government of the CPP. For many detractors and outright enemies of Nkrumah, Kotoka's greatest—if also sole—achievement was simply getting rid of an elected dictator. It has often been said, largely by Western academics, that Nkrumah was a heartless and fatuous dictator; these days, one hears Mr. Jerry John Rawlings, the career soldier who ran Ghana for twenty harrowing incontrovertibly bloody years, described as a "benign dictator." It is significant to observe that Mr. Rawlings, whose agnatic parentage is purported to be Scottish, presided over the dastardly kidnapping and summary execution of three Ghanaian supreme court judges, all of whom belonged to a single ethnic nationality.
  
  When one agrees with the Western ideological mythology that Nkrumah was a raw-boned dictator bereft of vision, then it begins to make sense that Kotoka's statue should continue to command the august facade of Accra International Airport, thus perpetually humiliating those of us who incurably believe in democratic governance. Needless to say, the 1966 Kotoka-led coup initiated the barbaric, neo-colonial military dynasty that Ghanaian continue to suffer….
  
  That Ghana's post-colonial political dilemma transcends military dictatorship cannot be honestly gainsaid. In fact, many of the most vociferous civilian opposition party leaders, some of whom are currently sitting in parliament, representing misguided and hoodwinked constituents, are known to have collaborated with Kotoka's so-called National Liberation Council to unseat President Nkrumah. It is also significant to observe that these largely superannuated rascals and executive national, fiduciary muggers continue to dominate whatever passes by the name of "the legitimate opposition." This state of affairs, coupled with a largely under-educated and under-informed electorate, has made it almost impossible to rectify the prevailing socioeconomic chaos ravaging the country.”

  Before these Bush people started trumpeting about Danquah there were great men most of them Fantis, Gas, Akwapems from the coastal who didn't make any fuss over their educational status. Great men like Phillip Quarcoe, George Kuntu Blankson, George Ekem Ferguson, Edmund Bannerman, John Mensah Sarbah, James Kwegyir Aggrey, Joseph Ephraim Casely Hayford and others all kept a low profile until one these Akyem Bush men got educated by courtesy of betrayal of Asantis which saw the British exile Asantehene Agyeman Prempeh I to seychelles 120 years ago. Danquah was even in his Akyem backyard was no match for the Ofori Atta Family so why does Ahootan make a big fuss over this province politician who only once made it narrowly to parliament in 1951. This lazy mind Danquah will always remain a footnote whenever Nkrumah's name is mentioned. Danquah and the other four only get prominence when their names were mentioned with Nkrumah. Otherwise they have all sank into oblivion. Nkrumah Lives!
