It makes some of us who saw and experienced the genius Nkrumah at work bow our heads in shame and wish the leaders after Nkrumah had even just one-thousandth part of THE GREAT MAN'S vision and selflessness.

Sure... he was human and had his faults but he was also an outstanding leader as compared to the clowns and thieves who came after him.
So as a Ghanaian, I personally owe him a debt of gratitude.

And indeed Kwame Nkrumah was the African leader par excellence. No one compares to Nkrumah. He was primus inter pares and is now sitting in the pantheon of the world's greatest.

You know what, a true critic dwell upon excellencies rather than imperfections. Kwame Nkrumah was a real man; not perfect but the anointed one which is why I love his imperfection. Many leaders of Africa today would choose Nkrumah's imperfection on any day over their profound incompetency.

This means the CPP of today can be likened to the inept NDC. My question to these rubble rousing Nkrumaist is ; what new policy ideas do they have that is different from that of NDC, and how are they going to turn the tables around when Ghanaians give them the mandate rule. If till date none of these Nkrumaist elsewhere around the globe could fit himself/herself into the shoes of the deity who never dies, then one could imagine how abysmal their performance would be if given the node to to take the front lines. Much as I also agree with you that the CPP needs a real leader and that Samia is not what it takes, I also know from your previous submissions that your anti-Nkrumah, your anti-CPP and your pro-imperialist inclinations do not favour a revival of the CPP and the development of Ghana and therefore your false concerns are just cynical.

Now Gye Nyame, tell me, do yu really believe that having representation in parliament has been of any useful benefit for this country? We currently have 275 pretenders sitting fat in the parliament of Ghana and we cannot even boast of enough electricity supply to power our mobile phones much more to run industries and businesses and you think the parliament of Ghana is of any consequence?

Let me tell you something. The only difference between those politicians who are in parliament and those who are not is that, those in parliament live in hollywood-style opulence and remuneration for absolutely nothing. I think that the CPP is merely lucky not to have too many people in parliament exploiting the resources of this country for a little more than infinitesimal work done.

Now the only reason that the CPP and what it stands for may not appeal to Ghanaians today is that many of our able country-men and women in the political terrain have been mesmerized by the superficial glamour of global imperialism and as a result, we are all being led by our noses into an abyss of self-destruction.

Take it or leave it, this country will never be as good as it was during the days of Nkrumah until we return to the ways of Nkrumah. Think about it.

Yes, Nkrumah did great things, Akosombo, Tema township and harbour etc.

His legacy however is diluted by the PDA, President for life and one party state policies.

Off the top of my head, I cannot count more than 20 – yes 20 educational institutions and proper medical facilities that your colonial MASTERS established in the over 500 years of pillaging and plunder that they undertook in in this small but lucrative part of Africa.

The majority of china's industries are publicly owned enterprises and if you compare that of Russia who privatised much of it's industries, China is way ahead. Nkrumah's model was very similar to the current Chinese model where the state led in infrastructural development and invested in job creating activities which remained going concerns until they were stolen or destroyed by the p/ndc. So clearly Nkrumah was ahead of even the Chinese. So called capitalist countries like Germany and the Scandinavian countries in particular have huge government involvement in their economy either through direct investment or high taxation to drive their economic development. Nkrumah wasn't voted the Greatest African for nothing.
No one stays the way they are permanently and there's no evidence to suggest the cpp is not capable of improving on a very good model to make it even better.

I am no politician, however, like many Ghanaians, I believe the economic mismanagement of consecutive governments since 1966 is a travesty that must come to an end; therefore any group of people who can emulate the singular patriotism,dynamism, astuteness,progressive and unifying spirit,determination, charisma, inventiveness and creatively daring character of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah will certainly be successful at the polls. To attain this goal, in the current tough e-commerce climate, ones approach must be passionate, persuasive,truthful, convincing, transparent and in a language that both intellectuals as well as any person with average education will feel comfortable with. Let me add even better than South Africa. So that is the real socioeconomic facts about socialism. Cubans do not come to Ghana and Africa for education and other human resource development programmees, rather it is Ghanaians and Africans who go there. Sarpong what you wrote here about socialism are not facts but illusions from your mind. It is a fact that most dissidents from Eastern Europe after arriving in the West saw their horizon open and no more criticize socialism because they saw that capitalism is the heart of the heartless world.
Karl Marx was himself an employer because he owned a textile and a newspaper company. The biggest transport, health and engineering companies are owned by Nkrumaist in Ghana. The former socialist countries of Eastern Europe after the velvet and orange revolutions have been a shadow of themselves. Capitalism did not unite them, and rather like Yeasts poem it brought with it destruction, wars and separatism. The fall of socialism has ushered the era of Islamist terrorism. The same forces that capitalism used against socialism is now armed against it. We say that the chickens of capitalism have come home to roost. A person who won a war does not come home and instead of rejoicing fall down and have his nose blooded like capitalism. It is also a fact that apart from the U.S. and the Gulf monarchies there are communist parties in countries across the world. Those communist parties have not abandon the course of the proletariat revolution, which is inevitable. In economic terms China is about to take over from the U.S. and the economy of China is a socialist one, with the state owning the major means of production and distribution. Currently there are no private Chinese construction company in Ghana.

Worthy to note that Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP strategy for economic development has now been adopted by Prof Jeffrey Sachs's Ten Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recommended to the UN and its Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon, for consideration and acceptance for the world at the UN on 2nd September 2015.

The critics of Kwame Nkrumah should move forward with the Osagyefo to ensure self government and development of Ghana and Africa. Nkrumah critics may die but Nkrumah never dies!

There have not been any serious efforts to rebuild the party, as the party that once commanded the support of majority of Ghanaians has now become a fringe party and on its last leg to extinction. It is bleeding profusely from leadership malaise and identity crises uncharacteristic of a premier political party in the land.

It is alright to say Nkrumah never dies, but his party is facing an imminent death, and as the party goes, so goes Nkrumah and everything he stood for.
