  Soli is a time honored "tradition" among Ghanaian reporters; some gleefully accept gifts and others don't.

  Soli is a time honored "tradition" among Ghanaian reporters; some gleefully accept gifts and others don't.
  The practice is awful and doubtlessly reflects poorly on the profession.
  
  However, to assert with a straight face that the Mahama administration is actively encouraging Soli is flawed logic, outrageous and pungent. What a cheap way to score political points? But then again, nothing surprises Ghanaians any longer.
  
  Attack the man's financial and economic policies and cease latching on to trivial issues that ultimately defeats your purpose....unseating him in the general elections next year.
