  The Ananangya/Odumase's forebearer Adofoahyee left his ancestral home of Assumja with his group of supporters after loosing the contest for the paramount stool of Assumja to his cousin. He sojourned through many places where they were not welcomed. They were chased out of Abira and finally arrived at Apemso where they were welcomed and settled by Apemsohene Nana Kofi Siaw
  
  Adofoahyee's mother, Maame Senifontom died at Apemso. Adofoahyee and his group plotted to use the occasion to stage a coup d'tat to topple the Apemso administration. This is what they did: They convinced Apemsohene Nana Aboagye who succeeded his brother Nana Kofi Siaw to borrow them funeral paraphenelia to decorated Maama Senifontom's remains. Why? According to Adofoahyee, his mother could have been a queen at Assumja had she decided not to follow him when he left home because he lost the contest for the kingship. Adofo wanted to give his mother a "quuenly" funeral.
  Nana Aboagye in good faith granted Adofo's wishes and gave them gold and other ornaments. Few weeks after the funeral Nana Aboagye sent for the return of the ornaments only to be told they burried Maame Senifontom with all of them. That infuriated Apemsohene Nana Aboagye and summond his men to go and dig out the ornaments from the grave.
  Adofoahyee and his men laid ambushed, knowing very well that will be the next line of action by the Apemso royals to retrieve the precious jewels. The mercilessly attacked and killed almost all the Apemso men. The women ran helter scatter with their children into the bushes to unknown destinations. Apemsohene Nana Aboagye later died at Aboofrem from the wounds he sustained.
  
  Adofoahyee and his people rushed to Apemso palace and looted anything they could get their hands on and crowned themselves rulers of Apemso. The oracles, rivers, mountains and the departed spirits of the land got infuriated and CURSED these group of immigrants from Assumja. They were dying in their numbers of untimely deaths. Upon consulting the oracles, they were reminded of their barbaric act against The Apemso royals. "yen ntena obi sere so na yennsum no"
  Upon pleading with the oracles, the verdict was voluntary annual sacrifice of one of their family members. The annual human sacrifice went on until the arrival of the whiteman who abolished same; hence the inception of "PAPA NANTIE", thereby substituting bulls for human.
  
  So if there is anyone or group of people who needs prayers, Adofo request first for your Ananangya/Odumase folks who committed those acts of atrocities against The Apemso Royals and also on record of sacrificing human beings as an atonement. "NFRAMA DE HUUHUU FA ADIE A, WONNYA"; "ONYAMEANSI WO HENE NA WOFA AHENKYE SOA A, ESO WO KWA"
  The evidence is there for all to see:
  Apemso that stood toe-to-toe with Kwamang (now Kumasi) has suffered so many mishaps under these cursed group. The "KUM" tree died under their reign; Asanteman lost The Banda war due to Okotere Fenini's offering of his knife "daga" to kill the enchanted bull leading the war, hence his Odumase folks forever banished from ascending the paramountcy of Kumawu; Instability on the throne and underdevelopment during their administration; the average years on the throne was 4 years: either they die or get overthrown.
  They can only point to 25x40 feet Post Office during Nana Seth's reign.
  Who wants to turn back the clock of progress, peace and stability being enjoyed under The Ankaase reign? Over our dead bodies.
  What birth-right do these immigrants from Assumja have in another man's land, APEMSO?. Maybe they can go back to Assumja and trust me I will agree with Adofo 100% to claim birth-right there; NOT IN MY BACKYARD.
