Not sure what to make of this essay by Yaw Nkunim.
But then, we are not artists or sculptors.
For us, the "concepts" are a bit out of date. In this age of globalization and gender equality, we need to be a bit mindful about the language we use to describe important matters that touches on the public domain.
Further, we also know that the beginning of the CPP had a bulwark of women at the front/center, on account of Dr. Nkrumah activism, his willingness to talk to all, including market women in the street of Accra, Kumasi, and in other cities during formation of the CPP, and governance.
This essay is about the 5th one we have seen and read about the CPP by Mr. Nkunim, on top of the recent piece by Ms. Samia Nkrumah.
Seems to us Mr. Nkunim is doing his part for the CPP!
So it goes, Ghana!

However, I do know that there is a scholarly, academic recognition by Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, of the pioneering leadership role of the female in Akan Tradition. How ironic you are using the same historical basis to predict the future of the Party of his greatest political foe, Nkrumah.
Yes, the legend as told by Dr. Busia, says that Akans used to have Women for Chiefs until such time that a War broke out and the presiding Chief, of then then small Akan group, could not lead her folks to the battlefield because of her Menstrual condition. In those days, the legend has it, it was an egregious taboo for Women in that physiological condition to cross streams and rivers, and the Akan Warriors had to match across some streams to reach the battlefield.
As a consequence, the Chief delegated her authority as the Commander-in-Chief to her Nephew who expertly led the Akans to defeat the enemy.
On return, however, the glorious victory engendered a revolution that demanded a change in the eligibility requirements for the Akan Chief to allow only Men to ascend the Stool. The female Chief, then thoughtfully acquiesced to allow her Nephew rule from that point onwards, while she remained the chief Counselor to the Stool.
That incident, then, is said to be the genesis of Men becoming Kings among the Akans. Any collaboration, or otherwise, to this legend as submitted by Dr. Busia?
