When the head of a department at an Nkrumah-founded university makes unreflective, illogical, and counter-historical arguments against the Founder of Ghana, we must assess and respond...One is curious about the last time Prof. Amoako Baah got out of his "Lazy Boy" academy chair to visit his own department's website. While we strongly believe that the Professor has the freedom and the right to say whatever he wants, we also know that as a public employee and the head of a major university department in Ghana, Prof Amoako Baah has moral, ethical, professional, and legal responsibility to be reflective, balanced, and responsible in his public utterances. KNUST is not an NPP or PP university. We believe that students working under Prof. Amoako Baah are not being fairly or properly served in the spheres of critical thinking, independence of thought, and balanced /reflective analyses. The students, faculty, and employees at KNUST deserve better. Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana deserves a lot better at KNUST!" ( (Prof Lungu, Cinqo de Mayo, 2015*).

One of our argument is this: Our "...institutional affiliation..." should not have anything to do with what we do or say on Ghanaweb. It is a private interest matter. That is part of the problem with Ghana. People who are supposed to know this elementary "thing", have no clue, or just do not care.

Just ask Dr. Okoampa Ahoofe, what pickle of a problem he found using his "...institutional affiliation..." on Ghanaweb and other media over a decade about things that generally reflected poorly on the thing that is his "...institutional affiliation..."

So tell us, Prof. Maxwell Twum, when was the last time Prof Amoako Baah made it clear to you that he was simply speaking for himself, and not KNUST, or the department he heads?

With respect to being "be bold enough to give us your real name", please recognize that what we say on Ghanaweb is said to reflect very well on our persona, and our "...institutional affiliation...", should it ever become necessary to say exactly who we are, or where w come from in Ghana, etc.

So, to cut to the chase, for deep Ghana-centered reason, we've chosen to use a moniker. Prof. Maxwell Twum, you should be smart enough to understand that.

So, what else do you, Prof. Maxwell Twum, have to say about our 3-part essay, now published as 1-piece essay?

This write up is inaccurate for any public consumption. Prof. Amoako likes Dr Kwame Nkrumah more than president Mahama and JJ or Prof Akosah likes him. The source of prof. Amoako pronouncements against Nkrumah here was just a mere debate between him and Prof Akosah which I did listen to it. It was done merely and purposely for the debate but it wasn't his actual stances against Nkrumah leadership. In fact, Multi media that is Joy FM was finding it difficult to get someone to speak against the leadership only for Prof. Amoako being invited to fake his likeness for Nkrumah to be "dislikeness" to have the debate in course. Therefore if you care to know, it was done purposely for the sake of the debate. Amoako likes Nkrumah leadership but he does it in disgust of hatred.

That in itself smacks off some unreasoning on the path of those asking for that. Frankly speaking, Prof. Amoako Baah is seriously becoming a disgrace to intellectuality and academic profession. He is not displaying any quality that is inimately attached to academicians. His public speeches, utterances on radio and writings are full of conjecture,self-serving and utter arrogance.
