  Thank you for making your voice heard (or read) on issues affecting all of us. It is also refreshing to see more women in this space.
  
  I do agree with certain points in your opinion piece-- especially that which stresses our attitude (or lack thereof) being a threat to our development. Where I respectfully disagree is the point you make about the ineffectiveness of people taking to the streets in lieu of your suggested alternative of a class suit.
  
  I do not think both actions are mutually exclusive, and groups like Occupy Ghana, IMANI and others have used various means to protest, as have others who have taken to the streets to protest. Most Ghanaians, I bet you will welcome any non-violent form of protest on pressure on this government.
  
  Also, I would have liked you to elaborate more on the class action which you discussed (although reference was made to it in a previous article?). Provide some background for those of us who do not know much about this, I bet you people would join you if it is realistic.
  
  As for the people who throw insults about here, pay them no mind. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

  I have come to enjoy reading your comments on a variety of topics in here on Ghanaweb.
  More women like you and Angela should get involved in making your voices heard. I have always been exposed to women with strong opinions starting with my own grandma, teachers and lecturers and those opinions helped shape my life. A life I am proud of.
  
  I have personally enjoyed Angela's pieces since she burst unto the scene months ago.
  As an African in general and a Ghanaian specifically, I find the topics she talks about very relevant

  The only problem I have with Angela's story body content is that she tries to tie every problem we have in Africa or Ghana to the lack or absence of Christianity in our lives which I don't think is correct.

  The only problem I have with Angela's story body content is that she tries to tie every problem we have in Africa or Ghana to the lack or absence of Christianity in our lives which I don't think is correct.
  
  Look at us as Ghanaians.... majority of us profess to be Christians and there's a ton of evidence around us to prove that we are very religious. If you doubt what I'm saying just take a ride on any public transport anywhere in the country and you come back and tell me if your ear drums don't get assailed by preachers of every kind spreading the good word. There are prayers said with the participation of every single passenger on a bus before the beginning of every long distance trip. There are so many churches mushrooming across the nation.
  
  So to me, Angela saying that Ghanaians don't have Christ in their lives and hence the multitude of problems coming our way, makes me scratch my head.
  
  If anything, I will say that Christianity has made Ghanaians so law-abiding that we have become non-chalant about how our rotten and thieving leaders have taken us for granted.
  
  We don't have the backbone to fight back when our political leaders go on stealing rampages on our national coffers making life unbearable for us.
  
  We always say "let's leave it in the hands of God" even when we know our leaders are living it big on money stolen from us. They rub it in our faces and we still keep mute when majority of the Ghanaian populace can't afford even one square meal a day. We have allowed bribery and corruption to eat into every fabric of the Ghanaian society because we are all afraid to hold people in high places accountable. "Respect your elders and people in authority", we are told.. even if these elders and people in authority are in the wrong.
  
  That's the Ghanaian Christian and traditional upbringing for you.
  
  If we want things to change for the better, there should be an 'ATTITUDINAL CHANGE OR SHIFT" in every Ghanaiain. We should hold our leaders accountable and there's nothing wrong in developing some backbones and borrowing a page from the Burkinese and starting a popular grassroot uprising to push useless governments like Mahama's and his government out of office without the help of the Military.
  
  Our Christian and traditional upbringing had been taken advantage of by people in authority for so long and now Ghanaians are beginning to realize that it's not right for a few people to enjoy the benefits of what is supposed to be shared by all.
  
  The effects of 'DUMSOR' have brought to light (no pun intended) that leaders could be just as useless and clueless as any ordinary Joe and that they don't deserve any respect if they don't respect the governed by telling lies after lies with no solutions in sight.
  Mahama and his gang of thieves, plunderers, marauders have no business running a village, let alone a whole country.
  
  LET'S KICK THEM OUT BEFORE THEY DO MORE DAMAGE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER HAD ANSWERS TO OUR PROBLEMS AND THEY ARE NEVER GOING TO HAVE THEM.
  
  WE DON'T NEED THE MILITARY'S HELP.
  
  WAITING TILL 2016 WILL BE TOO LATE THEN BECAUSE NOTHING WILL BE SALVAGEABLE!!!!!!

  I do agree with you on Christianity and I urge you (and Angela) to read Archbishop Desmond Tutu's book "God is Not a Christian". I think you will enjoy it. I too have always maintained that the Ghanaian Christian has somewhat been brainwashed into temerity. I would like to see more preachers encourage their members to be productive members of society-- rather than the prosperity preaching which has become the norm.
  
  And I am also 100% with you on attitudinal change for Ghanaians. It always amazes me to see Ghanaians outside of Ghana, with an entirely different attitude towards work and life in general compared to what they were at home.
  
  We all agree that this government has to be voted out in 2016. I am a trifle concerned that the alternative is not doing enough to get into power and preparing to take over. So far, I haven't heard or seen any comprehensive plans on education, health, the economy, etc from the NPP and that bothers me.
  
  Thank you both for providing food for thought today. Looking forward to future interactions.

  You have given an accurate assessment of our nature, our mindset.Coupled with Mr Cameron Duodu's observations(see,"The Straw that Broke the Camel's Back" -Ghanaweb feature article of Monday, 18 May 2015), I believe you have both captured the unflattering aspects of our Ghanaian spiritual essence rather well.
  
  However, as powerfully candid, even daunting, and beautifully written as this article is, I agree that little will be accomplished unless serious and effective action is taken. And guess what? You are going to have to take the bull by the horns, yourself.That means researching the shakers and movers, lawyers, engineers, planners, accountants,and other volunteers, mobilizing them for patriotic duty and doing legal battle against the government. Organize yourselves convincingly, and people will support you; even those from the Diaspora;subsequently,create a force to be reckoned with by merging with the celebrity protestors and their support groups etc...
  Our problem is we don't trust our own capabilities - myself included! Ironically, when we do take up the challenge,we often find that we do a far better job than those we looked up to.
  
  My Sister, if you do take up the challenge,let us hear of it; there may be some way I can volunteer my services too.
