  Nothing will change in Africa till we change our attitude. We are our own enemies. If we change our attitude, we can bring corruption to a screeching halt.

  While this is a good read, I get the feeling sometimes that articles addressing corruption are framing it as if there's no one working on it. You point to political leaders working on anti-corruption but there's those on the ground working on it also.
  
  There will be no obvious signal, lights flashing, trumpets blowing when corruption no longer has the significance it has today. Ghanaians are slowly losing their tolerance for corruption as shown by these demonstrations. This is not a project with a specific deadline. Corruption will slowly erode to minimal levels.
  
  Support the ones on the ground doing the dirty work and get no recognition of exposing corrupt practices. At some point there will be a department/Ministry that has the peoples trust and confidence to wage battle with the powerful that don't care. Enough with the pictures of the obvious.

  Corruption exists everywhere but besides the basic factors that universally characterize the vice, viz. people's crave for luxury and abhorrence of hard work, there are other factors deeply embedded in our Culture that heavily and uniquely drive us to the vice and sustain it among us.
  
  Such embedded factors include but not limited to the following:
  1). Strong association of Wealth to Social recognition, Power and acceptance;
  2). Inter-tribal superiority complexes;
  3). Dissociative gap between the Society and Government;
  4). Lack of Education--its expanse and depth;
  5). Moral and Ethical degradation;
  6). Weak Institutions for implementing policies and ensuring effective Law and Order.
  7). And the extended Family System that protracts our entitlement to collective ownership, and mutual protection.
  
  Each of the above could be further expounded to pin down its specific relevance to impacting a the life-cycle of Corruption among us.
  
  Long Live Ghana!!!

  Hmmm my heart if felt with sorrow every time i heard my people kill ourself with corruption.till we get out of this cancer we must believe in ourself.we must be political,economical and socially independent.we must govern our people without and direction and directives from western world.business men from great nation come to our dear continent and do all kind of dirty business whiles our people still romance in poverty.we must stand up to fight for our dear continent,i do believe that we are still in slavery but is a modern one.we just have our right to live freely but we still subject ourself to foreign control.i hope our counties will be better for us.
