As much as we would like to downplay the intentions and achievements of the June 4th Revolution, we must blame Ghanaians for the current deplorable state of affairs. If the AFRC revolution was about probity and accountability, which was accomplished, why haven't Ghanaians lived up to it and held ourselves accountable? Why have we allowed the politicians and their cohorts taken over the country, stealing everywhere? Why aren't we challenging these white collar thieves? JJ is not a saint and was not perfect, but we cannot blame him for letting the country rot as it has. At least he cleaned up the house during the 3 months. WHat has happened afterwards, including his own comeback starting in 1981(P/NDC) is something else we should all be ashamed of. Let's give the AFRC some credit here and let's call a spade a spade.

If nothing at all, people woke up - paid their taxes, became patriotic and responsible and disciplined. Cocoa was no longer left to rot in the villages, prices of common commodities dropped from their inflated levels - just to mention a few.

We are still mourning our dead we will never forget Gen. A.A.
