Their ethnocentrism and utter display of ignorance in a swashbuckling manner are simply overwhelming and mind-boggling. Can anyone who is not an Asante really belong to the NPP and feel at home with this kind of mindset?

The foundation for the CPP might have been laid by Nkrumah by the support given to the formation and running of the Committee for Youth Organisation (CYO)led by his friend Gbedemah within the UGCC. It was that movt that was actually the nucleus to the CPP and they invited Nkrumah to join them to form the CPP, instead of stay with the UGCC as its Treasurer while Gbedemah assumes his position as Gen. Secretary. The CPP was thus formed as a mass movt by many people, not only Nkrumah. It was indeed Gbedemah who was real organiser of the CPP and led it to victory while Nkrumah was in prison. He could easily have become the first Prime Minister of Ghana.

BTW, Baffour Akoto was actually just fighting for increased cocoa prices for cocoa farmers, most of whom voted for the CPP in the preceding elections. Losers and discredited politicians such as Busia and Danquah simply took advantage of that, with Busia becoming the leader of the NLM and turning it into a political vehicle to fight another losing battle. So, in reality, non-Asantes brought their losing and retrogressive politics to Asantes and, together with some opportunistic Asantes, many of whom defeceted from the CPP, have since then been deceiving ordinary Asantes that they represent their interests best! Busia, of course, is a Brong and Danquah, an Akyem. And reactionary Dombo, an after-thought often and best forgotten, from the North.

Unfortunately, this Asante jerk and the rest of them like Sarpong think the Busia-Danquah tradition is another "Asante" tradition they are upholding! Tweah! How can someone refer to Asante tradition of slave raiding, plunder, looting, destruction and massacres on a industrial scale, human sacrifices on a gargantuan level, seizure of even dead chiefs' lands, etc., etc., as democratic, rule of law and respect for human rights and freedoms? Where is Dr SAS to tell us what he is really defending????
