I hope you took the time to watch/listen to media houses like TV3, Joynews shows like Newsfile, etc. You would realize that "solutions" to the flood problem have been plentiful. Plentiful and thought out for decades. The problem is actually performing these "solutions" and sustaining them if they are implemented.

You save foreign exchange reduce unemployment while silmanteously injecting purchasing power into the economy. We need to be flexible and creative and stop slavishly applying orthodox Western textbook prescriptions with reckless disregard for our local conditions.
