  The truth is the npp has to self appease with the dress up democratic cloak when hearts don't tick that way or face up to its democratic demons some day when things are very bad. The choice is simple

  What are, really, the NPP's strengths? The writer says only that NPP is democratic and NDC is not. But this claim of democratic credentials is one that the NPP have been claiming for themselves. No one else sees them as such.
  
  If NPP is good only because NDC is bad, then there is probably no goodness in the NPP. It is just like Akufo-Addo saying vote for me because Mahama is not doing well. He probably cannot give us any reasons why we should vote for him in his own capacity. Saying he won't chop our money is not believed by any one.
  
  Many Ghanaians are really really fed up with BOTH NDC AND NPP. Right now, there are people who will vote for NPP no matter what. And there are many others who are determined NOT to vote for NPP (and especially not for Akufo-Addo). The arguments adduced in the above article will not make anybody who is not going to vote for Akufo-Addo change his or her mind.
  
  The only way Akufo-Addo is going to win is if enough people are so dissatisfied with the entire Ghanaian political set up that they don't even bother to go and vote.
  
  What many Ghanaians are craving for now is not more democracy. They want practical solutions to their daily problems. There is nothing that says NPP is better at providing that than NDC.

  Thanks to God for having your kind stay away from the shores of Ghana Adjei Sarfo. What has changed at the EC? Is it the absence of its chairman or has the EC been restructured in the image of NPP? Since the conclusion of the 2012 elections, the NPP in all its nakedness have railed against the EC and with its chairman still at post, the EC conducted an earlier NPP voting process that saw all the NPP nay sayers of 2012 shower praises on the prodigal EC. As law school graduate where presumed logical thought processes are a must, Adjei Sarfo, you cannot shamelessly and hypocriticaly claim intimidating a government institution in a nation like Ghana to bend to the wishes of a party built on the Ashanti and Akyem tribes as a sound democratic attribute.
  Is it in Austin, Texas the seat of Texas government that gave you these ideas and ideals about democracy? Events in backward Texas in themselves do not democracy make even if the Republican party reduces the intellect of the citizens of Texas. What has been happening in Texas is not ideal democratic practices but vigilante and a throw back to the era of cowboy mentality where quick draw of the gun rule the day. Presumably, Ghana is not ready for that nonsense. There are no traces of democratic values or principles in NPP and wrapping the party in a democratic thin foil is not going to make it one. You do not kill people or bomb your way out to establish a true democracy if the ballot box is not good or fast enough. It certainly is not a democracy if you flim flam your way around democratic core values. Is it the Texas of Tea party and Rick Perry era Republican party that is bringing to bear the dangerous and delusional democratic values you are willing to transplant amidst a dumb and dumber foot soldiers in Ghana?

  Did Nkrumah's party, CPP attack any Ashanti or Dagbon man in their strongholds?
  Was it CPP or NDC people who poured the acid in the north? Even amongst themselves they sprayed pepper when they were at their primaries electing aspiring MPs.

These publications redolent of the so called "contre-coup" doctrines of the CIA then in use in massively malevolent manner on the peopl of Vietnam. Among other things claiming that TOR, AccraTema motorway, Akosombo dam and township Tema shipyard and drydock and the whole GIHOC industrial complex were prestige projects. The process of hamstringing these vital pieces of our industrialization program started then because of simple "political eyered and skin pain" sending us down the proverbial slippery slope to our present quagmire. In conclusion; if the only way you can attempt to establish your political bona fides is a 60 year campaign of denigration coupled with a stubborn curmudgeonly refusal to accept the innumerable facts that give the lie to their claims, a simply inability to recognize the achievements of a great statesman who history has proven to be correct in his analysis and programme.
