I would like to add that Coach Grant step up the competition in the central defence. Jonathan Mensah and John Boye are both excellent choices but I would like to see Jerry Akaminko, Rashid Sumaila, Awal Mohamed, Daniel Amartey all get call ups in the next few Ghana friendlies and Nations Cup qualifiers. With competition from Ruanda, Mozambique and Mauritius Coach Grant can afford to try various combinations other than the usual Boye and Jonathan Mensah who are yet to grow into the big shoes left by John Mensah the "Rock". What happended to Lawrence Lartey? That is another central defender worth a call up.

On the question of Jordan Ayew I use to be a critic of his style of play. I must admit that after watching him play against Mauritius I have become a convert not because he scored a brace but I like his movement off the ball, he is now actually looking for his team-mates and he is playing one-two touch football, when he dribbles the ball it is with a purpose. His strikes are poisted and has the precesion of a surgeon. He never blasts the ball over the bar and rarely shoots wide. No wonder he converted all his PK's for Ghana. If he maintains the same formula consistently he will excel against better opposition and help the Black Stars win a final.
