Note that when the Hausa villagers were still worshipping idols, the Dagomba and Gonja Kingdoms had been centres of trade and learning for more than 400 years.The Hausas only came to prominence because a Fulani Man called Osman Dan Fodio in about 1840. Go and ask your people and they will tell you that some of your people used to come to Yendi and Buipe (both Dagomba and Gonja cities) to trade as far back as 1650. At the that time the Ashanti Kingdom did not exist. You are so stupid to think Hausas are better than the people of Wa.

I heard some people from the north worked as labourers in the so-called Town Councils and kept people healthy. I live in the US and people from some countries are forced to do menial jobs including cleaning toilets and earning good money to support their livelihoods. Some Ashantis who live in the rural areas do not use toilets, they fertilize their farms either squatting or "bomb" from trees!
others just dig man holes and balance themselves on logs and do their thing.
Should we not insult the economic system that forced people to work like that? If the ashantis had built better toilets nobody will need to carry anything-some people corrected your unhealthy habits, got paid and yet are insulted. What about stealing? And smelly people? wao let us go there! Most ashantis living in the rral areas and even urban areas only take a 'natural shower" when they are beaten by the rain, when returning from the farm, who is likely to smell?
When it comes to insults bring it on! you have got to the right place! By the way am from the South of Ghana, but very objective!

But my friend the real meaning behind the peanut eating thing is deep. It means you poor people , you cannot afford a decent meal. You know peanuts are snacks, so if they say to live on snacks only, you may not walk away. Believe me yours sincerely that description is actually distasteful. I don't know what this say about the Sokotos' but at the least, we can infer they're not proper Hausas. The fact that they're the predominant "Hausa" group in Ghana might be due to their fleeing their native land during Usman Dan Fodio's jihad in that area. I mention this just to provide anectdotal context for Farida Shaibu
