Looks like Ghana has taken after the US and UK in choosing its father's day. We have not been able to choose our own. In the Western European country where I live, Father's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in November every year. No, they've decided not to follow the US in everything, even though they do in many things. After all, this country is far older than the US! It has older traditions too...
I was surprised when people started telling me Good Father's Day from Ghana. But I know they don't know that it's not father's day here. And when it is Father's Day here, they won't know to send me Father's Day wishes...

It is Father's Day, not fathers' day. Just remember that the term is a proper noun, and the apostrophe comes after the "r" not after the "s".
