You are just trying to tell us that because the NDC has destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, Mahama will lose. Have you forgotten that Kufour secured a land at Amasaman so that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah could be relocated to make way the Odaw River, etc. You see the NDC took the NPP to court because of votes and won. I am afraid we the educated people have become tribalistic crooks and you exemplify the problem. You just could not say what was on your filthy mind and chose to alluce to the NHIS. Vermin

If a government is doing well in many respects, the populace will tolerate certain tough decisions. A new government can take tough decisions in the beginning when it had a lot of goodwill. By the time time the government is in power for some time, those tough decisions should be yielding positive results. The people will understand and the govt can then take a few more tough ones.
But when a govt is not doing well from Day 1 as we see with the Mahama govt, then it becomes more difficult to take tough decisions half-way through.
It's a big problem. Tough decisions can be taken only by tough presidents. Nkrumah was one such tough president. Mahama is not. I doubt if Akufo will be either... He is too old to be tough.

Dr., Mahama has taken one tough decision which will change the image of Accra for good. But the timing is just bad , seeing the economic crises we are in. And here is where i expect CSOs to support the Mayor for this bold decision but they are quite and the media too, worse than silence. Paul Kagami is hailed because he has turned his country into a clean and orderly one.
... As for the insults meted out to you disproportionately, u expected it. ..aloo ? Many commentators on ghanaweb dont think beyond ethnic boundaries. So, take it in your stride.

You've articulated your points wisely.I've advocated for same course to be taken on numerous occassions. Our presidents must learn to take certain bold decisions irrespective of the political ramifications awaiting them in subsequent elections. One term presidency doesn't signify a curse or non-performance.I hope Nana Addo will take some bold decisions in various aspect of our economy if he's able to win.

My brother, what you just articulated is the problem with Democracy especially when it is prematurely and skewdly understood and practised by developing countries like ours.Ghana indeed needs a system that will make Leaders focused on generational needs (the nation) rather than the next election.Opposition parties in Ghana must also learn to support Governments when tough but necessary decisions are taken instead of using such actions for their politcal gains.Good one, man!!!
