It looks like ghanawebers are getting fed up with the series on correct English. Even though they are good teaching material, they don't seem to be forumers greatest concern now. Most visitors to ghanawe leave outside the country, confront English as spoken by native speakers or some other language, and the finer points of grammar are not their greatest concern now especially more so since they are not preparing to take any exams in English grammar.
The other day, Prof Lungu and someone else were arguing that perhaps ghanaweb is not the best forum for the series. Maybe they are right. After a few worthy lessons, there is only so much forumers can take. And one can go on forever correcting our common mistakes.
I am not surprised that more than half the day (Ghanaian time) has gone and no one has commented.
Anyway, I saw one of your series on joyonline with a huge, clean and beautiful picture of the author. But it looked to me like the picture of the author was more important than what he was actually trying to convey (or teach?). Perhaps you may want to withdraw your picture so that attention can be concentrated on the lesson you want to teach.
For me the series reminds me of the five minute programme on GBC radio in the "good old days" called "Let's speak English" broadcast daily on weekdays. It was nice and as students we always listened to them. Today, I rather remember it as Ghanaians teaching English in a typically Ghanaian accent (which doesn't appeal to me these days even though it is what I speak myself...)
Perhaps our present language teacher is too young to remember the "Let's speak English" days on GBC Radio

Dear Kaleo,
Good day.
It was not Prof. Lungo (and someone" who "argued that perhaps ghanaweb is not the best forum for the series."
In fact, whoever that did that impersonated me (Francis Kwarteng, Ghanaweb columnist), Prof. Lungu and perhaps Kojo T.
Prof. Lungu commented on the same article you just referred to, pointing out hat he, myself (Francis Kwarteng, Ghanaweb columnist), and Kojo T had been impersonated 9on the same article).
I have since told Mr. Azindoo that any time he sees "francis kwarteng" attched to any of his articles, then that person is not me, after all, I am not the only with that name.
And after all is said and done, I don't go about telling other columnists what to write and what not to write on Ghanaweb in their articles. I don't own Ghanaweb. Neither am I the editor.
Whoever has been impersonating Prof. Lungu, myself, or Koko T is doing that for mischievous reasons. I have suggested to Mr. Azindoo to use the services of any individual who has the IP-reading software to sort out things for him.
Of course, the software may not provide all the answers but that is a good place to start if he wants to unravel the identity of the individial(s) behind the impersonations.
Please don't take it take I implying you mentioned my name in your comments. I am only saying this as a matter of further clarification.
