He spoke out of his heart the other day by praising President Mahama for bringing development to his area. When NPP complained that the NDC were using it for political gain he is now beating a retreat. The same thing when then President Kuffour tried to honour then Candidate Mills, when the NPP complained that by so doing he was endorsing Mills to the advantage of their own candidate, Mills then added Nana Addo's name to the list for no meaningful achievement. The Asomdwehene would go on to win the 2008 elections with or without the award. Okyehene should learn to let his "yes" be "yes" and his "no" be "no". This vacillation between two positions cuts a very poor picture of such an enlightened and educated chief.

To all those berating Bokor, read this: Ghanaweb General News of Tuesday, 26 May 2015, Okyenhene confesses: Our roads are being constructed.

Okyenhene Amoatia Ofori Panin, paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwah, has lauded President Mahama and the NDC government for constructing the Okyeman roads.

“ I commend President Mahama and the minister for roads and highways for constructing the Okyeman roads…this is a step in the right direction,” Okyenhene confessed.

He stated that, “…to some of my people in the farming communities, electricity is not of essence to them, but good roads that will enable them transport their foodstuffs from their farms to the market so they could make money from their yields at the end of the day”.

He said, his people who are mostly farmers, cannot use “dumsor” as an excuse whatsoever since they have no use for electricity because they spend most of their time on their farms working, so they could feed themselves and mother Ghana.

He said the road construction currently ongoing means a lot to Okyeman and they are very grateful to President Mahama heeding to their call.

He said, though they mounted enormous pressure on the government to have their roads constructed, but at the end of the day, those pressures bore a lot of fruits as their roads are currently being fixed by the NDC administration.

Secondly Mahama himself has said, mentioning of projects as achievements is mediocre and childish.

We are interested to know how Mahama rule is pushing the economy... the economic growth, interest rates, debt sustainability levels, exchange rate of foreign currencies, improvement on poverty levels.. etc. Mahama/NDC have failed shamefully on all these fronts. Rehabilitation of 20 or 50 km of cocoa roads out of 90000km of roads is childish and foolishness.

Every chief, as well as every Ghanaian, has the right to speak their mind, and this chief, as brave as he is, has spoken his mind. You Borkor, on the other hand, have no right to tell anyone what to say or what not to say. Being an NDC sympathiser should not mean criticising anyone who dared raise their voice against the government.
It is this sickening attitude that has left Ghana languishing amongst the world's worst countries; your mediocre expectation of the government is easily satisfied by the mediocre projects currently ongoing, sorry this is not good enough!
