  Ultimately, this article points to the deeper division, suspicion, infighting and hatred at the heart of NPP leadership. Amid the calls for unity, it appears the NPP has lost the ability to make a show of unity, even a carefully choreographed show of unity in these circumstances, in the interests of the party.
  
  There is no evidence that Mr. Paul Afoko or Mr. Kwabena Agyepong directly played a significant role in the acidic attack on Mr. Adams Mahama. At the end of the day, if Nana Akufo-Addo himself a lawyer, finds the Police investigations and Court actions/decisions thoroughly unsatisfactory, he cannot force their hands in anyway.
  
  This article probably reflects a more profound question: Which direction is Nana Akufo-Addo, the leader of NPP taking the party to? It appears Nana Akufo-Addo has lost focus, authority and boldness of leadership as 'back seat' drivers are now influencing the direction of the party.
